Out of 310 responses to SUNDIAL, a slight majority said the Head Start program is a good idea. The vote was 167 to 143 (53 percent to 46 percent).

However, most said the program is not worth the additional federal expense. Out of 304 responses, the count was 179 to 125 (58 percent to 41 percent) disapproving the expense.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as a scientific public opinion poll would be.
