CURRENT volunteers' news and needs:

Save Our Streams is looking for volunteers to participate in a Stream Clean-Up along Saw Mill creek on Saturday, Feb. 8, from 9 a.m. to noon, according to Jackie Carrera, project director. To register to volunteer or for more information, call 969-0084.

The United Negro College Fund's fund-raiser telethon "The Lou Rawls Parade of Stars," which was held over WBAL-TV on Jan. 11, raised $225,473.79. The money will be used to support black higher education.

Mental Health Association of Metropolitan Baltimore is offering the public a free revised edition of its publication "Federal Income Tax Planning Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities and Their Families" for preparing income tax returns. Single copies are available from the Association at 323 E. 25th St., Baltimore, 21218. Or call (410) 235-9786.

Maryland Science Center volunteers will be calling residents tonight and again on Feb. 2 and 9th between 6 and 9 p.m. in 0 0TC phone campaign to raise donations for 1992. "Say Yes to Science" is the theme for this year's fund-raising campaign. Call 685-2370, Ext. 426 for further details.
