THEFT: Western District -- A resident of the 2100 block of Booth St. reported that while she was walking in the 2300 block of W. Baltimore St. shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday a man armed with a handgun approached and snatched a $20 bill she was holding. Police said the man escaped and the woman was not injured.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police reported a man armed with a handgun accosted a female resident of the 1600 block of Edmondson Ave. Saturday night while she was walking in the 600 block of N. Mount St. and robbed her of $50 in cash and her coat. Police said the coat was valued at $20.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police reported that a man armed with an unknown caliber handgun entered the H & H grocery store in the 900 block of Bennett Place Saturday night and ordered a clerk to give him money from the cash register. Police said the gunman escaped with about $100.

THEFT: Central District -- An Annapolis resident reported that while her car was parked in the 1100 block of N. Charles St. between Saturday night and yesterday morning someone broke into the vehicle and stole property valued at more than $250. Police said entry into the car was by breaking a window.

BURGLARY/ARRESTS: Central District -- Police responding to a break-in at the city's Bureau of Recreation and Parks office in the 1600 block of Eutaw Place arrested three youths and charged them as juveniles with burglary. Police said the arrests occurred around 1 p.m. yesterday and that later the youths were released into the custody of their parents pending action by juvenile authorities.

ROBBERY/ARRESTS: Western District -- Police arrested two men yesterday and were holding them pending charges they robbed a resident of the 2100 block of Woodbrook Ave. while he was walking in the 1600 block of N. Calhoun St. Police said the victim was walking alone when he was accosted by two men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded his money. Police said the men robbed the man of about $70 before escaping. Later, police arrested one man in connection with the armed robbery and were holding him at the station pending charges. Police said while officers were investigating the robbery and were interviewing the victim, a man walked by and picked up some of the victim's property that had fallen to the pavement. Police said when Lt. James Carnes stopped the man from leaving, the man struck Carnes several times before he was subdued by Carnes and other officers. Police said that man also was arrested and was being held pending charges, including assaulting Carnes. The man told police he picked up the robbery victim's property so he could take it home and ask his mother what he should do with it. Police said Carnes sustained face, wrist and arm injuries and was treated at a hospital.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Employees of the K & Y grocery in the 2400 block of Francis St. reported that someone broke into their building by knocking a hole in an exterior wall. Police said several cartons of cigarettes, bottles of syrup and bags of coins were taken. The total value of the property, police said, was not known. Later, police arrested two men in connection with the break-in and were holding them at the station pending charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 3900 block of Park Heights Ave. reported she was shopping inside a grocery store in the 1500 block of Leslie Ave. yesterday afternoon when she was assaulted by a man who pushed her to the floor and robbed her of more than $200 worth of cassette tapes.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Western District -- A resident of the 2200 block of Presbury St. told police that during an incident at her home yesterday evening she was assaulted by a man she knows who pushed her against a wall and stole a set of keys. Later, police arrested the man and were holding him at the station pending charges. Police said the woman was not seriously hurt.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police said a deliveryman for Pizz A-Boli's in the 5700 block of Falls Road was making a food delivery in the 2900 block of Woodland Ave. early yesterday morning when he was accosted by two men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded his money. Police said the gunman and his accomplice escaped with about $100.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 5500 block of Lothian Road told police he was near his home over the weekend when a man armed with a handgun accosted him and demanded his cash and property. Police said the victim turned over more than $70 in money and personal items to the gunman, who escaped on foot.

RAPE/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending charges that he raped a 17-year-old girl in her Park Circle-area home over the weekend. Police said the man was reportedly a relative of the girl and that the sexual attacks had been going on for a lengthy period. Following the latest incident, the girl was taken to the Mercy Medical Center for treatment and was released.

THEFT: Northern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a car while it was parked in the 600 block of E. 31st St. and stole two stone statues of lions. Police said the statues were valued at nearly $200.

THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police responding to a shoplifting report at the Super Fresh market in the 6300 block of York Road yesterday afternoon arrested a man who attempted to leave the premises without paying for poultry products. Police said the man was stopped by a store security officer who held him before the arrival of uniformed district officers.

THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a man yesterday who attempted to leave the Farm Fresh store in the 6300 block of York Road without paying for $51 worth of meat products. Police said the man was being held at the station pending charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

ASSAULT: Northern District -- A female resident of the 3600 block of Greenmount Ave. reported she was inside a house in the 800 block of Exeter Hall Ave. Saturday morning when she was struck in the face by a man who then pressed a knife to her neck and threatened to kill her. Police said the woman managed to free herself from the man, who later was arrested. Police said the man was being held at the station pending assault charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

THEFT: Northern District -- Police said someone pried a lock from a pigeon coop in the rear yard of a resident of the 3000 block of Abell Ave. over the weekend and stole 16 show pigeons. Albert Williams, the owner of the pigeons, told police the birds were valued at $400 and that the theft occurred between 11 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police reported that two men, one armed with an unknown caliber handgun, accosted a deliveryman for Pizz A-Boli's in the 5700 block of Falls Road while he was delivering an order in the 4800 block of Nurton Ave. around 8 p.m. yesterday and demanded his money. Police said the men robbed the deliveryman of more than $100 and that during the incident the gunman pressed his weapon to the victim's head.

ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- Police said a resident of the 2800 block of Ellicott Drive was in the 4600 block of Parkton St. yesterday when he was attacked by a man who pulled out a knife and cut him on the hand. Police said the armed man escaped and that the victim was taken to St. Agnes Hospital, where he was treated for lacerations of the fingers and released.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that a resident of the 800 block of N. Augusta Ave. was walking across the parking lot of the Edmondson Village Shopping Center in the 4500 block of Edmondson Ave. yesterday when he was accosted by two men, one armed with an unknown caliber handgun, who demanded he give up the leather jacket he was wearing. Police said the victim complied and that the gunman and his accomplice escaped with the jacket, valued at more than $300.

ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- Police reported that a man armed with an unknown caliber handgun entered the Royal Farm store in the 5300 block of Old Court Road shortly before midnight yesterday and ordered a clerk to give up the money in the cash register. Police said the gunman, a man wearing a black cap, gray jacket with hood and blue jeans, escaped with an undisclosed sum.

ROBBERY: Wilkens District -- A resident of the first block of Shadynook Road reported he was walking near his home early today when he was accosted by two men, both wearing dark jackets, who assaulted him and demanded his money. Police said the victim handed over his wallet containing a small sum to the men, who escaped on foot.

DRUG ARRESTS: Odenton -- Following a brief investigation, police raided a house in the 1600 block of Annapolis Road last week and arrested two men on drug charges. Police said a search of the dwelling resulted in the seizure of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police said Rodger L. Rundenza, 27, a resident of the raided house, and Shawn R. Hancock, 19, of the 5400 block of Middleborne Lane in Centerville, Va., were each charged with possession of marijuana and possession of narcotic paraphernalia. Police said bail information on both men was not available.

BURGLARY: Annapolis -- A resident of the 1400 block of Log Inn Road reported that someone broke into his home through a door and stole several pieces of jewelry. Police said the jewelry was valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY: Edgewater -- Police said property valued at more than $3,000 was reported stolen from a dwelling in the 100 block of Mayo Road after someone gained entry by forcing a door. Police said the intruder escaped with a large assortment of hand and power tools.

BURGLARY: Glen Burnie -- Police said a handgun was stolen from a dwelling in the 1600 block of West Way after someone gained entry by forcing a door. Police said the weapon was valued at more than $500.

BURGLARY: Severn -- A resident of the 7700 block of Telegraph Road reported that someone broke into his home through a door and stole property valued at more than $2,000. Police said the intruder made off with video games and other pieces of property.

ROBBERY: Annapolis -- Police reported that a man armed with a large knife robbed the Holiday Inn in the 100 block of Holiday Court off Riva Road of an undisclosed sum last night. Police said the man entered the motel lobby shortly before 10 p.m. and ordered the 23-year-old desk clerk to give him money from the cash register while brandishing a 10-inch-long knife. After taking the money, the man ran out a rear door and onto a parking lot.

ROBBERY: Brooklyn Park -- An unarmed man last night robbed the High's dairy store in the 4100 block of Belle Grove Road. Police said the man entered the store shortly before 8 p.m. and placed a sandwich on the counter. When the clerk opened the cash register after ringing up the sale, the man ordered the clerk to give him all the money, police said. After taking less than $100, the man ran out the front door and was last seen running north on Belle Grove. Police said no weapon was displayed during the robbery.
