Towson State ends 3-game skid, beats Buffalo, 77-65

BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Terrance Jacobs scored 28 points and had a career-high 14 rebounds, and Terrance Alexander added a career-high 25 points, helping Towson State to a 77-65 East Coast Conference victory over the University of Buffalo at Alumni Arena last night.

The win halted a three-game losing streak for the Tigers, who came in having lost six of their previous seven games.

John Blalock led Buffalo with 21 points and six assists. Rob Middlebrooks had seven rebounds.

Jacobs scored all of Towson's points during a 13-4 run midway through the first half. The streak gave Towson a 25-19 lead and the Tigers held a 35-28 advantage at halftime.

Buffalo missed several opportunities in the first half to get back in the game with poor shot selection and turnovers, shooting 11 of 34 in the first half.

F: In the second half, Towson steadily expanded its lead.
