Because of an editing error, a story in Monday's Evening Sun incorrectly reported that Mayor Kurt L. Schmoke had asked the Environmental Protection Agency to show flexibility in requiring new pollution controls for the Pulaski Highway incinerator. In fact, Schmoke said he told the EPA he was not asking for a relaxing of emission standards for the facility. The Evening Sun regrets the error.
