ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 1000 block of E. Baltimore St. reported he was in the first block of Hopkins Place shortly before 11 p.m. yesterday when he was accosted by a man armed with a knife who pressed the weapon to his throat and demanded his money. Police said the victim turned over less than $10 to the armed man, who escaped on foot.
ROBBERY/ARREST: Southeastern District -- Police said a 51-year-old resident of the 200 block of S. Broadway was assaulted and robbed Saturday night as he approached the doorway of his home after going to a store to buy cigarettes. The victim told police he was about to enter the doorway of his apartment about 10 p.m. Saturday when he was stopped by a man who struck him in the face and robbed him of his wallet. Police said a female resident of the area heard the victim and the other man struggling and dialed 911. Moments later, officers arrived and arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the robbery. Police said Sean Davis, whose address was not immediately available, was charged with armed robbery and was being held at the district lockup pending a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.
ASSAULT/ARREST: Southeastern District -- Police arrested a teen-ager and were holding him at the district lockup pending charges that he assaulted a 22-year-old resident of the 2700 block of E. Fairmount Ave. while the victim was in the 700 block of S. Port St. The victim told police he was walking along the street around 12:30 a.m. yesterday when he was attacked by the suspect who hit him in the face with a bottle. Later, the youth was arrested not far from the scene. Police said the victim was taken to Francis Scott Key Medical Center, where he was treated for lacerations and released.
BURGLARY/ARRESTS: Southeastern District -- Maryland Toll Facilities Police Saturday night arrested two men who allegedly broke into an auto dealership in the 500 block of Dundalk Ave. and stole a 1992 Toyota. Police said someone broke into the Schaefer & Strohminger dealership at 520 Dundalk Ave. late Saturday night and drove off in a new Toyota. Later, the car was stopped by toll facilities police near the Harbor Tunnel. The reason police stopped the car was not immediately known. After learning that the car was stolen, toll facilities police turned the men -- one 21 and the other 18 -- over to district police, who were holding them pending burglary and auto theft charges.
ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A 43-year-old Parkville-area woman reported she was in the 100 block of Aisquith St. around 11:30 a.m. yesterday when she was assaulted by a man who knocked her to the pavement and stole the purse she was carrying. The woman told police the purse contained cash and property, all valued at $200.
ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- The 47-year-old owner of Bay Seafood in the 2300 block of E. Monument St. reported he was forced to give up money from the cash register to two men, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun. The owner of the business told police that two men entered the store shortly after 8 p.m. Saturday and that one of them pulled out a sawed-off shotgun. The owner reported he gave the men more than $100.
ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A 27-year-old resident of the 6300 block of Toone St. reported he was walking a block from his home Saturday night when he was stopped by a man who knocked him to the pavement and robbed him of more than $100. Police said the robber was not armed and that the victim sustained minor injuries.
BURGLARY: Eastern District -- A resident of the 1600 block of N. Caroline St. reported that someone broke into her home over the weekend by forcing the front door. Police said the occupant reported that nothing appeared missing.
BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Police reported that property valued at $600 was stolen from a dwelling in the 1400 block of Ashland Ave. after someone gained entry by opening the front window.
ASSAULT/ARREST: Eastern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending charges that he stabbed another man in the hand with scissors during an incident in the 2000 block of Ellsworth St. Police said the victim, a resident of the Ellsworth Street address, reported that during the incident early Saturday, he was stabbed in the hand by a man he knows. Police said the suspect was arrested near the scene and that the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and released.
BURGLARY: Eastern District -- A resident of the 2900 block of E. Federal St. reported that someone broke into his home over the weekend and stole property valued at $700. Police said the burglar escaped with $100 in cash, two chairs and a 19-inch TV. Police said entry was gained by opening a rear door.
BURGLARY/ARREST: Eastern District -- Police arrested a man and charged him with twice breaking into a house in the 1000 block of N. Caroline St. over the weekend. Police said someone broke into the house between Friday night and Saturday morning by forcing the front door and stole a VCR valued at $600. When officers returned to the house around 4 a.m. Saturday to investigate a second break-in, they arrested the suspect. Police said the man was being held at the station pending two counts of burglary and theft.
ROBBERY: Eastern District -- A resident of the 5600 block of McClean Blvd. reported he was in the 2700 block of E. Federal St. around 5 p.m. Saturday when he was stopped by a man armed with an unknown caliber handgun who demanded the coat he was wearing. Police said the victim gave up his coat in which there were more than $65 worth of food stamps. Police said the armed man escaped and that the total value of the property was nearly $270.
THEFT/ARREST: Eastern District -- Police arrested a man over the weekend when he attempted to leave the Veterans warehouse in the 1300 block of E. North Ave. without paying for a jacket. Police said the man was stopped by a security officer who detained him before the arrival of uniformed district officers. Police said the jacket, valued at nearly $30, was recovered. Police said the man was held overnight at the station pending formal charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 4500 block of N. Charles St. reported that someone broke into her home over the weekend and stole property valued at more than $5,000. Police said the burglar entered through a window and stole a VCR and several pieces of jewelry.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said a 10-speed racing bike valued at more than $800 was stolen from a garage behind a dwelling in the 5700 block of Cross Country Blvd. Police said the burglar entered the garage through an unlocked door between Jan. 8 and yesterday.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 500 block of W. University Parkway reported that someone broke into her apartment yesterday and stole a purse containing cash and prescribed drugs. Police said the property was valued at nearly $300.
THEFT: Northern District -- Police said someone broke into a car while the vehicle was parked in the 700 block of W. 40th St. at the Rotunda Mall and stole 60 cassette tapes and a flashlight. The owner of the property, a resident of the 2000 block of Pheasant Cross Drive in the Green Gate section of Baltimore County, said the property was valued at more than $700.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said property valued at more than $1,300 was stolen from a dwelling in the 3000 block of St. Paul St. after someone gained entry through an unlocked window. Police said the break-in occurred over the weekend and that the intruder escaped with two 35mm cameras and a flash unit.
THEFT/ARRESTS: Northern District -- A resident of the 3300 block of N. Charles St. reported that someone broke into his car Friday night while it was parked on the property of Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St. and stole an Army fatigue jacket with his name stenciled on it and several books. Later, police arrested a man who was wearing the victim's jacket. Police said John Reed, 45, of no fixed address, was charged with theft and was being held at the station in lieu of $1,000 bail. Police said Reed also was charged with stealing property from another car and in that case was held in lieu of $5,000 bail.
THEFT: Northern District -- Police said two multispeed bikes were stolen from a dwelling in the 3700 block of Roland Ave. over the weekend. The bikes, police said, are valued at more than $350.

ROBBERY: Towson District -- Police reported a 59-year-old Towson-area woman was walking in the 1000 block of Taylor Ave. shortly before 11 p.m. yesterday when she was approached from behind by two men who knocked her down onto the pavement and stole the purse she was carrying. Police said the men then jumped into a silver midsized Chevrolet and sped off. Police said the woman was not injured and that the value of her property was not immediately known.
Anne Arundel County
THEFT/ARSON: Glen Burnie -- Police arrested a 34-year-old Brooklyn Park man and a juvenile and charged each with auto theft and arson after officers found a car burning behind the Home Depot Center on Ordnance Road early yesterday. Police said the officers were patrolling along Md. 710 and Md. 10 around 3 a.m. yesterday when they observed two vehicles, a car and a truck, go behind the store. A short time later, only the truck came out and drove away. Believing the situation was suspicious, the officers went to the rear of the store and found a car in flames. Firefighters were summoned and quickly extinguished the fire. Police said a check of the burning car revealed it had been stolen from the city. After the officers received information about the occupants of the truck that left the scene, they went to a nearby fast-food restaurant at Ritchie Highway and Walton Avenue and arrested the suspects. Charged with auto theft and arson was Glen Curtis Hendricks, 34, of the 5700 block of Phillips St., and the juvenile, whose name was not released. Police said bail information on Hendricks was not available. They said the juvenile was released in the custody of his parents.
Harford County
ARREST: Forestville -- State Police early today arrested a 39-year-old Baltimore County man, after a chase along a rural road after they responded to a report that a man armed with a handgun was threatening a female occupant of a house on Grafton Shop Road. Police said the incident was a domestic situation. Police said an unidentified woman reported that the man arrived at her home around 3 a.m. with a gun and threatened her and a male friend. Police arrived shortly before 5 a.m. and spotted the man driving off. On Watervale Road around 5 a.m., the man drove his car into a guardrail while being pursued by State Police and sheriff's deputies and was arrested without incident. Police said the man, a resident of the 7300 block of Dunwall Road in Dundalk, was being held at the Benson Barracks pending assault and deadly weapon charges and multiple traffic charges. Police said a gun the man was said to have been carrying was not recovered. No injuries were reported.
