Maybe as Ken Rosenthal says, Baltimoreans really do hate the Redskins. How else can you explain the lack of support for the seemingly invincible Washington team in yesterday's "It's Your Call?"

Some 53 percent of the 459 respondents (242 callers) said Detroit would beat the 13 1/2 -point favorites in Sunday's NFC final. Washington, a 45-0 winner over Detroit in the opener, was favored by 47 percent (217 callers).

In the AFC, callers were more conventional in their voting, backing Buffalo over Denver. The Bills were favored by 56 percent of the respondents (257) with John Elway's Broncos picking up the least support of the four teams, 44 percent (202).

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as would be done in a scientific public opinion poll.
