ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A city man told police he was walking in the 3000 block of Thorndale Ave. Wednesday afternoon when he was stopped by a man armed with a handgun who demanded his money. The victim told police he gave $100 in cash to the gunman, who fled on foot.
ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police said a resident of the 5600 block of Parr Ave., located behind the Reisterstown Road Shopping Center, reported he was walking near his home late Wednesday night when he was accosted by a man armed with a handgun who ordered him to give up his money. Police said the victim gave the gunman about $30 in cash.
ROBBERY/ARRESTS: Northwestern District -- Police were holding two men at the station pending armed robbery charges. Police said a man was walking in the 5000 block of Beaufort Ave. when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who ordered him to give up his money. Police said the victim turned over cash and property, all valued at more than $300 to the men, who escaped on foot. Later, two suspects wanted in connection with the robbery were arrested near the scene and were expected to be charged today with armed robbery and using a handgun in the commission of a felony.
CAB HOLDUPCAB HOLDUP: Northwestern District -- A driver for the Arrow cab company reported he was transporting a passenger in the 3500 block of Calloway Ave. shortly after 4 p.m. yesterday when he was ordered to stop. The driver told police the fare, a male in his late teens, then pulled out a handgun and ordered him to give up his money. Police said the cabbie turned over $50 in cash to the passenger, who escaped on foot.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Police reported a man walking in the 100 block of Mosher St. Tuesday night was accosted by three men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded his cash and personal items. Police said the victim was robbed of cash and property, all valued at $300.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Police reported that a man armed with a handgun stopped a West Baltimore man Wednesday night as he walked in the 800 block of Carrollton Ave. and ordered him to give up his money. Police said the gunman robbed the victim of nearly $200 in cash and escaped on foot.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men, one armed with an unknown caliber handgun, accosted a man as he walked in the 1200 block of Edmondson Ave. Wednesday night and ordered him to give up his money. Police said the gunman and his accomplice robbed the man of less than $20 in cash and escaped.
THEFT: Western District -- A resident of the 1300 block of Barnes St. reported to police that someone entered her home and stole nearly $160 in cash from under her bed.
ASSAULT: Western District -- A man told police that he was walking in the 1700 block of W. North Ave. when he was stopped by a man who pulled out a handgun and pointed the weapon at him. Police said the victim fled and was not injured.
ROBBERY: Western District -- A woman reported she was walking in the 1500 block of W. Baltimore St. Tuesday morning when she was approached from the rear by two men who stole the purse she was carrying. Police said the men escaped with cash and property, the value of which was not immediately known.
PURSUIT/ARREST: Northern District -- Following a pursuit early today that covered several neighborhoods, police arrested three adults and a juvenile when the stolen car they were riding in went out of control coming off the 29th Street bridge and crashed. Police said Officer Kevin Shillenn spotted the car northbound in the 2500 block of Greenmount Ave. around 2 a.m. and followed it after the driver spun the car's wheels. During the pursuit, Shillenn radioed police headquarters and learned that the 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS had been stolen yesterday afternoon from the 300 block of E. 28th St. The stolen vehicle was westbound on 29th St. near Sisson Street when it went out of control and struck a utility pole. Police said two of the occupants were trapped in the car for several minutes and that two others were trying to escape but were caught by Shillenn and other police officers. The two trapped in the car sustained minor injuries. Charged with auto theft were Willie Garcia, 26, and Chris Banks, 25, both of the 400 block of Ilchester Ave. Police said Garcia, the driver, also was charged with multiple traffic violations. Also charged with auto theft was Tyrone Holland, 22, of the 300 block of Woodridge Ave. Police said Holland also was charged with illegal possession of a loaded .380 semi-automatic handgun. The teen-ager, police said, faces auto theft charges as a juvenile and was released into the custody of his parents.
THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of Guilford told police she was inside the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen in the 5200 block of N. Charles St. when someone stole her leather coat, eyeglasses and a scarf. The victim told police the property was valued at more than $300.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 6200 block of Chinquapin Parkway Tuesday night or Wednesday morning and stole a VCR. Police said the property was valued at more than $300 and that entry was gained through a rear basement window.
ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2400 block of Everton Road reported he was home Wednesday morning when two men broke into his home and accosted him while he was in the bathroom. The victim later told police that the men bound his hands and feet before robbing him of his cash and keys. After the men escaped, the victim called police and reported the incident. Police said that in addition to taking the victim's money and keys, they also took his 1988 Buick.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone forced their way into a dwelling in the 2300 block of Rogene Drive Wednesday and stole cash and jewelry from the bedroom. Police said the property was valued at more than $3,000 and that entry into the house was through a kitchen window.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone broke into an office at Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St. over the weekend and stole a man's jacket. Police said the jacket was valued at more than $100.
THEFT: Northern District -- A man told police that while he was swimming in the pool at Gilman School in the 5400 block of Roland Ave. someone broke into his locker and stole clothing and a signet ring. The victim told police the clothing and ring had a total value of more than $650.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said more than $100 in cash and property valued at more than $125 was stolen from a dwelling in the 6100 block of Ivymount Road. Police said entry was gained through a kitchen window.
ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 5200 block of Kenilworth Ave. reported that she was walking near her home Wednesday evening when she was attacked from the rear by a man who knocked her to the pavement and stole the purse she was carrying. Police said the man escaped with cash and property, all valued at more than $200.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said someone broke into a house in the 100 block of Woodlawn Ave. Wednesday and stole a VCR from the bedroom. Police said the value of the property was not immediately known and that entry into the house was by breaking out a pane of glass in a front door and then unlocking the door.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said a white mink coat, three watches and jewelry were stolen from a dwelling in the 6300 block of Ivymount Road after someone gained entry by unlocking a second-floor bathroom window. Police said the property was valued at nearly $2,000.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2600 block of Guilford Ave. reported that someone broke into his home and stole property valued at more than $1,000, including a VCR, compact disc player and a coat.
THEFT: Northern District -- Police said cash and food stamps were reported stolen from a house in the 500 block of E. 27th St. yesterday. The victim told police the cash and stamps had a combined value of $700.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that property valued at more than $900 was reported stolen from an apartment the 600 block of Glenwood Ave. yesterday. The occupant told police that someone broke into his home by forcing a door and stole a gold chain, several tools and a wallet.
THEFT: Northern District -- A Towson resident told police that her car was broken into while it was parked in the 2500 block of Greenmount Ave. yesterday afternoon. The victim told police that someone stole her briefcase, radio, umbrella and cassette tapes. Police said the property was valued at more than $300.
ASSAULT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a 32-year-old man and were holding him at the station pending charges that he cut a resident of the 4400 block of Falls Road during an incident inside the house Wednesday night. Police said the victim, a resident of the house, sustained a cut on the left hand.

ARSON: Essex District -- Police resported that someone set fire to the rear of a house in the 1300 block of Maple Ave. Wednesday night. Police said a flammable liquid was splashed on the back section of the house around 10 p.m. and set ablaze. Police said the fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters and that no injuries were reported among the occupants of the dwelling. Police said the incident remains under investigation and that a motive for the burning was not known.
ASSAULT: Essex District -- Police today were investigating a possible shooting at a man near Sugarwood Circle. Police said residents of a house in the 1200 block of Sugarwood Circle were awakened by a man banging on their door who told them that someone fired a shot at him and then drove off in a beige-colored foreign car. Police searched the area but were unable to find the vehicle. Police said the man was not injured.
Anne Arundel County
ASSAULT: Pasadena -- Police said a 24-year-old Pasadena man was injured when two men attacked and beat him with their fists outside Company 13 fire station on Fort Smallwood Road. Police said the man, whose name they declined to reveal, was calling for help early Sunday morning while being attacked when a member of the fire company opened the front door. Police said the man's attackers fled the scene and that the victim was given first-aid at the station for minor injuries.
BURGLARY: Glen Burnie -- A resident of the 400 block of Secret Bend Road reported that someone forced their way into his home and stole more than $1,000 in cash. Police said entry was gained through a window.
BURGLARY: Linthicum -- Police said tools valued at nearly $1,200 were stolen from a dwelling in the 600 block of Timothy Drive after someone gained entry by forcing a door.
BURGLARY: Pasadena -- Several pieces of stereo radio and recording equipment were reported stolen from a house in the 600 block of Riverside Drive after someone entered through a door. Police said the value of the property was not immediately known.
