Extradition is waived Slaying suspect from Ocean City is being held in Fla.

THE BALTIMORE EVENING SUN

A 30-year-old Ocean City man charged with fatally stabbing his former girlfriend and then fleeing in her car to Florida, has waived extradition to Maryland following his arrest there, Ocean City police said.

Ronald Gordon stands charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter, assault with intent to murder and assault and battery in the death of Lynn Susan Clem, 36, of the 8500 block of Coastal Highway, Ocean City police said. He's being held at the Putnam County Jail in Putnam County, Florida.

Gordon waived extradition at a hearing in Putnam County yesterday, Ocean City police said.

A clue to his whereabouts surfaced when Clem's car was spotted in Florida, Ocean City police said.

Gordon was arrested about 6 p.m. Tuesday leaving his sister's trailer in Palatka, Fla., by Palatka police and Putnam County sheriff's deputies, Ocean City police said. Florida authorities also recovered a knife believed to be the murder weapon, Ocean City police said.
