ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Nathaniel Faison, of the 2000 block of N. Dukeland St., reported he was in the 1900 block of N. Longwood St. Saturday night when he was accosted by a man armed with an unknown caliber handgun who demanded his money. Police said Faison gave up more than $100 to the gunman, who escaped on foot.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Gregory Johnson, of the 900 block of N. Franklintown Road, reported he was robbed of more than $100 early Sunday morning by a man armed with an unknown caliber handgun who accosted him as he walked in the first block of S. Franklintown Road.
BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Employees of the Cut Form Service Co. in the 1100 block of S. DeSoto Road reported that someone broke into the building over the weekend and stole a large quantity of coins. Police said the value of the coins was not immediately known and that entry was gained through a window.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that a woman walking in the 500 block of Swann Ave. Sunday afternoon was robbed of her purse containing cash and property by a man who approached her from the rear. The victim, Carol Christiansen, Baltimore County, told police the contents of the purse were valued at $60.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that a teen-age resident of the 700 block of Yale Ave. was in the 4300 block of Eldone Ave. Sunday when he was accosted by an older youth who robbed him of the football he was carrying after striking him with his fist. Police said the victim was not injured.
ROBBERY: Central District -- Police said two women walking in the 1900 block of N. Charles St. around 9 p.m. yesterday were stopped by an unarmed man who demanded their money. Police said the victims, Cynthia Claybourne, of the 3600 block of Edmondson Ave., and her companion, Evon Williams, of the 4200 block of Frederick Ave., gave up nearly $30 to the man before he fled on foot.
THEFT: Central District -- Marcy Frank, of the Stevenson Park section of western Baltimore County, reported that while his car was parked in the first block of E. Centre St. around 9 p.m. yesterday someone broke into the vehicle and stole a jacket and a shirt. Police said the value of the clothing was not known.
ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Daniel Soto, a deliveryman for Domino's pizza, reported he was delivering an order in the 300 block of E. North Ave. when he was assaulted by a man who struck him in the mouth and robbed him of two pizzas. Police said Soto sustained a minor injury to his mouth. Police said the food was valued at less than $15.
ASSAULT: Eastern District -- Arthur Lee Harris, 35, of the 1900 block of N. Patterson Park Ave., reported that during an incident at his home Sunday morning he was assaulted by a woman he knows who struck him in the face with a bottle. Police said the woman fled and that Harris was taken to a hospital for treatment of a 6-inch long laceration to his face. Police said the laceration required several stitches to close and that Harris was released.
ASSAULT: Eastern District -- Police said two residents of the 800 block of Webb Court were near their homes Sunday morning when they were threatened by several males, one of whom had a gun. Police said when William Byrd and Lamont Robinson turned to flee, the man with the gun fired at least one shot. Police said neither Byrd or Robinson was injured and that the gang fled the scene. Police said they had no motive for the incident.
THEFT: Eastern District -- Police said someone entered the rear yard of a dwelling in the 1500 block of Holbrook St. and stole more than $200 worth of clothing off a clothesline. Police said the thief stole five pairs of blue jeans and two shirts.
THEFT: Eastern District -- An employee of Organic Waste Technology in the 900 block of N. Macon St. told police that someone broke into one of their vehicles while it was parked near their company and stole several pieces of clothing from the rear of the vehicle. Police said the clothing was valued at more than $400.
THEFT: Eastern District -- Michael Tighe, an employee of BISM Inc. in the 2900 block of Strickland St., reported that someone broke into his company-owned truck while it was parked in the 900 block of Greenmount Ave. yesterday and stole a bank bag containing cash. Police said the bag and the undisclosed sum was behind a seat in the vehicle when someone entered it by breaking a side window.
ROBBERY: Eastern District -- Naomi Pendleton, a resident of the Latrobe Homes in the 800 block of Harford Court, reported she was walking near her home yesterday morning when she was approached from the rear by a man who stole the purse she was carrying in a dress pocket. Police said the man escaped with more than $100.
BURGLARY: Eastern District -- A resident of the 1000 block of McAleer Court reported that someone broke into her apartment by opening an unlocked front door and stole a 35mm camera, cash, two coats and two pairs of bowling shoes. Police said the property was valued at more than $1,000.
THEFT/ARREST: Eastern District -- Police responding to a shoplifting at the Super Pride market in the 1600 block of Harford Ave. yesterday afternoon arrested a 28-year-old man who attempted to leave the store without paying for three packages of meat products valued at more than $20. Police said the man was held overnight at the station pending charges and a bail hearing today before a District Court commissioner.
BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Police said someone broke into a dwelling in the 2800 block of Chase St. yesterday and stole a VCR and a 19-inch TV. Police said the property was valued at more than $500 and that entry was gained by forcing a rear door.
Baltimore County
ROBBERY: Wilkens District -- Police reported a man wearing a ski mask and who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed the Royal Farm convenience store in the 4300 block of Hollins Ferry Road shortly before 4 a.m. yesterday. Police said the man entered the store around 3:30 a.m. and ordered an employee to give him the contents of the cash register while implying he was carrying a gun in his pants pocket. After taking an undisclosed sum, police said, the man left the store and was seen driving off in a red Dodge pick-up truck.
ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- Antonio Forman, of the 2100 block of W. Baltimore St., told police he was at the Security Square Mall Sunday afternoon when he was approached by two men in their 20s who forced him to accompany them to the rear of the mall. Near Rolling Road, Forman later told police, the men robbed him of his cash, shoes and the coat he was wearing before they fled on foot.
Anne Arundel County
BURGLARY: Glen Burnie -- A resident of the 500 block of Milton Ave. reported that someone broke into his home through a door and stole several pieces of jewelry from the bedroom. Police said the jewelry was valued at more than $2,000.
BURGLARY: Severna Park -- Police said property valued at $500 was stolen from a dwelling in the first block of Cedar Road after someone gained entry through a window. Police said the intruder escaped with several pieces of jewelry.
Carroll County
DOG THEFT: Westminster -- A $200 reward is being offered by the county's Humane Society for the arrest and conviction of a man who stole a 9-week-old mixed terrier puppy from the society over the New Year holiday. An official of the society said a man entered the building Jan. 2 and told an employee that he was looking for a puppy for his children. A few minutes later, the employee noticed the man leaving the building and walking in an unusual manner. The man entered a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo with customized striping and drove off before the employee could stop him. An official of the society told police the office was understaffed during the holidays and not enough people were working to handle every person desiring to purchase a pet. Anyone having information about the man who stole the dog is urged to call the Humane Society at 848-4810.
THEFT: Westminster -- Police reported that someone stole an aluminum rim and tire from a vehicle while it was parked at the Westminster livestock auction. Police said the equipment was valued at more than $300.
VANDALISM: Westminster -- Police said two vehicles parked at the Cranberry Mall were vandalized. One vehicle, police said, sustained more than $1,000 worth of damage and another, parked near the Leggett department store, had a passenger side window broken. Damage to the second car was estimated at $200.
HARFORD COUNTY
ROBBERY: Fallston -- Police reported that a man armed with a silver-plated handgun robbed the Shell mini-mart on Mountain Road near U.S. 1 shortly before 9 p.m. yesterday. Police said after the gunman fled the station with an undisclosed sum, he was seen running through the parking lot of an adjoining business. A search by police officers, at least one K-9 unit and a State Police helicopter failed to locate the man. Police described the gunman as white, in his early to late 20s and nearly 6 feet tall. He had dark hair, was wearing a mustache and was dressed in a blue hooded sweat shirt over a gray sweat shirt, blue jeans and gray gloves.
THEFT: Abingdon -- Employees of Rainbow painting in the 3700 block of Pulaski Highway reported that someone entered the building last week and stole equipment and property, all valued at more than $9,000. Police said the thief escaped with an arc welder, an air compressor and several bathroom cabinets. Police said there were no signs of forced entry.
BURGLARY: Edgewood -- A resident of the 100 block of Laburnum Road reported that someone broke into his home and stole savings bonds, radios, stereo equipment, jewelry, luggage and an answering machine.
VANDALISM: Joppa -- Police reported that someone destroyed windows and signs of Sign Design Inc. in the 1100 block of Clayton Road. Police said several of the firm's signs and windows were broken and that damage was estimated at more than $3,000.
BURGLARY: Whiteford -- The occupant of a home in the 2700 block of Whiteford Road told police that someone forced his way into his home and stole property valued at nearly $2,300. Police said the burglar escaped with several pieces of jewelry and at least one handgun.
Howard County
SNIPER: Columbia -- County police reported someone armed with a pellet gun shattered seven large windows of the Parkside Building in the 10500 block of Little Patuxent Parkway last week. Police said each of the plate-glass windows was valued at $2,000 and were installed between the first and fourth floors of the building.
BURGLARY: Columbia -- Police said at least two people broke into a house under construction in the 7700 block of Chatfield Lane and stole a refrigerator and a heat pump. Police said the intruders also flooded one of the bathrooms with water. Besides stealing property from the one house, police said, someone also entered a second home being built and stole a furnace. Police said the value of the appliances was not known.
