This is a weekly summary of selected prime contracts recently awarded by the federal government to companies and other vendors in Maryland.
Maryland contracts
Marlowe Heating and A/C in Dunkirk won a $472,900 contract from the Navy to renovate building A-12 at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington.
James R. Roane Construction Co. in Forestville won a $215,919 contract from the Navy to provide barrier-free access to building 190.
Litton Systems Inc. in College Park won a $246,877 contract from the Air Force to provide an integrated communication switching system.
Motorola Inc. in Landover won an $83,839 contract from the Navy to provide pagers.
2& Earth, Engineering & Sciences Inc.
in Baltimore won a $77,500 contract from the Army to install and maintain automatic petroleum recovery systems, with monthly monitoring for each system at Fort George G. Meade.
Non-defense contracts
Federal Data Corp. in Bethesda won a $60,034,000 contract from the Goddard Space Flight Center to provide mass data storage and retrieval systems.
New Horizon Diagnostic in Columbia won a $499,237 contracfrom NASA to provide research and development.
