The first First Thursdays event of 1992 will be held this evening with galleries, shops and other institutions along the Charles Street corridor offering free or discounted admission from 5 to 7:30. Participating galleries are:

*Lois Hodes Gallery. 511 N. Charles St. "Holiday Spirit": oils by Deborah Souders, embellished quilts by Paulette Warwick, animal portrayals in oils by Roberta Leimduler, sculpture by Nanette Clapman Blinchikoff, stained glass by Peg Silloway.

*Tomlinson Craft Collection. 516 N. Charles St. mixed-media sculptor: Rima Schulkind; featured jeweler: Jill Beninato

*AIA Baltimore. 11 W. Chase St. Black Women Architects

Other events include:

*Open house at the Mount Vernon Museum of Incandescent Lighting, 717 Washington Place.

*Baltimore Film Forum screening (8 p.m.) of "A Man Escaped." $1 discount for First Thursdays participants (patrons must show the Downtown Partnership's newsletter, at the BFF box office). The BFF is located at the Baltimore Museum of Art.
