RICHARD H. SIMONDS

Services for Richard Henry Simonds of Pasadena took place Saturday at Singleton Funeral Home. Burial followed at Glen Haven Memorial Park.

Mr. Simonds, 73, died Dec. 24 at North Arundel Hospital after a brief illness.

The Maryland native retired in 1984 after 34 years as a truck driver for the Baltimore News American.

Survivors include his wife of47 years, Margaret P. Simonds; a son, Roger C. Simonds of Severna Park; a sister, Virginia Dicus of Annapolis; and two grandchildren.

PATRICIA M. GORZO

NSA EMPLOYEE, 39

Services for Patricia M. Gorzo of Linthicum took place Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Linthicum. Burial followed at Glen Haven Memorial Park.

A graduate of Andover High School, she worked as a staff officer at the National Security Agency for 20 years and was a member of St. John's Church.

Mrs. Gorzo is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Heiser.

Survivors included her two daughters, Rachel Lynn Gorzo and Rebecca CarltonGorzo, both of Linthicum; four brothers, W. CleveHeiser, J. Kevin Heiser, J. Kenneth Heiser and J. Keith Heiser, all of Linthicum; and her mother, Augusta Heiser.

COMPUTER WORKER, 59

Services for Joseph P. Sutt of Glen Burnie took place Saturday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Burial followed at Glen Haven Memorial Park.

Mr. Sutt, 59, died Wednesday at St. Agnes Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Born in Nanticoke, Pa., he attended the Johns Hopkins University and worked as a computer specialist for the Federal Communications Commission in Washington for 25 years.

Mr. Sutt is survived by his wife, Margaret Sutt; a daughter, Pamela Sutt; asister, Florence Kaszewki of Crownsville; a grandchild; and two nieces.

ANNA MARIE SCHERER

HOMEMAKER, 86

Services for Anna Marie Scherer took place yesterday at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church in Baltimore. Burial followed at Meadowridge Memorial Park.

Mrs. Scherer, 86, died Thursday at Meridian Nursing Home in Severna Park.

Bornand raised in Cologne, Germany, she immigrated to the United States in 1930. She also lived in Huntington, Long Island, N.Y. She enjoyed sewing and arts and crafts.

Mrs. Scherer is preceded in death by her husband, Anton Scherer.

Survivors include her son, Joseph Scherer of Linthicum; a brother, Adam Hasenberg, and sister, Elizabeth Haaf, both of Germany; two grandchildren, Thomas Scherer of Jarrettsville and Therese Reed of The Colony, Texas; and three great-grandchildren.

Services for Dorothy Elizabeth Baker of Glen Burnie were held yesterday at Singleton Funeral Home. Burial followed at Druid Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Baker, 79, died Friday at Harbor Hospital after a lengthy illness.

The Baltimore native graduated from Forest Park High School and was a member of the Old Otterbein United Methodist Church and the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, the Rev. Gordon Baker; a daughter, Carole Baker of Nashville, Tenn.; two brothers, Robert Cassell of Savannah, Ga., and George Cassell of Baltimore; and two sisters, Edna Cassell and Rose Tolson of Baltimore.
