THEFT/ARREST: Central District -- Kathleen Farbrache, an out-of-town resident, told police that while her 1991 Honda was parked in the 200 block of E. Mount Royal Ave. yesterday evening someone broke into the vehicle and stole her purse. Later, police arrested a 30-year-old homeless man and charged him with theft. Police said Randolph Foreman, of no permanent address, was held overnight at the station pending a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

THEFT/ARREST: Central District -- Darryl Burreu, an out-of-town resident, told police that property valued at more than $600 was stolen from his 1977 Chevrolet while the car was parked in the 200 block of W. Read St. yesterday evening. Police said someone broke into the vehicle and stole a piano bench and fled. Later, police arrested Homer Gregory, 28, of no permanent address, and charged him with theft. Police said the piano bench was recovered when Gregory was arrested. Police said Gregory was to have a bail hearing today before a District Court commissioner.

THEFT: Central District -- Joanne Beberati, an employee of Maryland General Hospital in the 800 block of Linden Ave., told police that someone entered her locker at work and stole her wallet. Beberati told police the wallet contained cash, identification cards, credit cards and other property, all valued at more than $200.

ASSAULT: Central District -- Police today were seeking a man who pointed a handgun at a female resident of the 1400 block of Wilmer Court when she opened her front door. Donna Jennings told police that upon answering a knock at her door last night, she saw a man standing in front of her pointing a gun at her head. Police said Jennings shut the door and that the man fled. Police said the man was known to Jennings, who was advised to seek a warrant for the man's arrest.

THEFT: Central District -- Bernard Dobrazykowski, of the 300 block of Drew St., told police he was about to enter an Amtrak train at Pennsylvania Station when he felt someone bump into him. Later, Dobrazykowski told police he discovered his wallet was missing. Police said the wallet contained cash and other property, all valued at more than $260.

CUTTING: Western District -- Police today were seeking a woman in connection with the stabbing Sunday night of Raymond King, of the 1400 block of W. Lafayette Ave., during an argument at his home. King told police that during the argument, the woman pulled out an unknown sharp object and stabbed him in the right wrist. Police said King was not seriously injured.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Tonya Perkins, of the 1800 block of Edmondson Ave., reported she was in the 1900 block of Edmondson Ave. shortly after noon yesterday when she was stopped by a man and his female companion who robbed her of $10. Later, police arrested the couple. Police said Antonio Newman, 26, of the 600 block of N. Hilton St., was charged with robbery and held overnight at the station in lieu of $75,000 bail pending a bail review hearing before a District Court judge. The woman, police said, was held overnight at the women's detention center at the Central District pending formal charges and a bail hearing.

ROBBERY TRY: Western District -- Police reported a man attempted to force an attendant at the Crown service station in the 1000 block of W. North Ave. to give him money from the cash register by setting the money slot on fire. Police said the would-be robber escaped and that the fire caused minor damage. Police said the incident occurred around 6 a.m. yesterday.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 1600 block of Harlem Ave. told police that someone broke into his home by forcing a side window and stole a TV, radio, two handguns and other pieces of property. Police said the property had a total value of more than $1,600.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Linroy Francis, an out-of-town resident, reported he was in the 200 block of S. Augusta Ave. Sunday night when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who robbed him of his cash and property, all valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police said property valued at nearly $900 was stolen from a dwelling in the 500 block of N. Fulton Ave. early yesterday after someone gained entry by forcing a door.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Garrison District -- Police today were seeking a man who entered the High's dairy store in the Chartley Shopping Center in the 100 block of Chartley Drive shortly before 10 p.m. yesterday and ordered two employees at gunpoint to give him the contents of the cash register. After taking an undisclosed sum, the man ordered both employees down onto the floor before he ran out the door. Police said the robber was armed with a chrome-plated handgun and that no shots were fired during the robbery.

SHOOTING: Woodlawn District -- Police said an 18-year-old resident of the 3400 block of Keston Road in Woodmoor was admitted to Sinai Hospital yesterday after he was shot in the upper left leg at his home. Police said Bernard T. Bolden was home yesterday and was in the kitchen when he was shot. A friend, police said, arrived a few minutes later and drove the wounded Bolden to Sinai, where staff physicians notified city police that they were treating a gunshot victim. City police turned the case over to county police, who said they were going to interview Bolden today to find out the circumstances of the shooting. Police said Bolden was listed today in stable condition.

Anne Arundel County

DRUG RAID: Linthicum -- Police reported that a raid on a room at a motel over the weekend resulted in the seizure of $4,600, some of which bore traces of illegal drugs. Police said four men who had access to the room but were not arrested remain under investigation and could be arrested soon. After receiving information that drugs were being sold from the room of an unnamed motel, police entered the room early Saturday. In the room they found $4,600. A dog used to detect drugs sniffed the money and gave signs that it contained traces of drugs. No drugs, however, were found in the room. Police took the names of the four men who had used the room and released them pending the outcome of the investigation. Police said the owners of the motel had nothing to do with the incident.

Carroll County

DRUG ARRESTS: Westminster -- Acting on information received from a reliable informant that resulted in a lengthy undercover investigation, members of the county's narcotics task force raided an apartment Sunday in the first block of W. Pennsylvania Ave. and arrested six people, including two juveniles. A search of the apartment resulted in the seizure of 2 ounces of cocaine in the form of nearly 40 rocks or crystals. Also found was drug paraphernalia used to cook the cocaine into rock form and a handgun. Police said the weapon was used in a recent drive-by shooting in Westminster. Also seized was more than $465 and a 1987 Nissan Maxima. Charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and related offenses was David R. Dragani, 36, a resident of the raided house. Police said Dragani was being held at the county Detention Center on $100,000 full bail. Also arrested was Courtney Allen Collins, 18, of the 3700 block of Brice Run Road in Randallstown, who was being held on $50,000 full bail. Robbin Antonio Bruce, 19, of the 4800 block of Reisterstown Road in Baltimore, was being held on $65,000 full bond. The fourth adult, Gordon Cartnail Jr., 19, of the 6500 block of Carrolltowne Village in Sykesville, remained in custody on $80,000 full bail. One of the juveniles, a female, was released in the custody of her guardian. The other juvenile, a male, was originally charged as an adult but was later charged as a juvenile and remanded to the Charles H. Hickey Jr. School in Baltimore County.

THEFT/ARREST: Westminster -- Police said an 18-year-old Westminster man was arrested and charged with 10 counts of theft from cars and one count of destruction of property. Police said Matthew W. Harris, of West Main Street, was being held at the county Detention Center in lieu of $25,000 full bail. Police said Harris is suspected of breaking into several cars and stealing purses, radios and tools from vehicles parked throughout the city over the past months.

Harford County

ROBBERY/ARREST: Police Saturday arrested a man and charged him with the unarmed robbery of the High's dairy store in the 4300 block of Pulaski Highway in Belcamp. Police said after the robber fled the store shortly after the 9 p.m. holdup, a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car was seen parked outside an apartment on Perrywood Drive. Two sheriff's deputies kept the vehicle under surveillance until a man was seen leaving an apartment and entered the car. The deputies followed the car before pulling it over a short distance away. Police said the man was identified by the store clerk and arrested. Charged with robbery and being held at the county Detention Center in lieu of $25,000 bail is Michael W. Maker, 27, of the 1600 block of MeadowoodCourt in the MeadowoodTownhouses in Edgewood.

BURGLARY: Aberdeen -- A resident of the 200 block of Golf Drive reported that someone broke into his home and stole a hunting bow and a portable tree stand. Police said the hunting equipment was valued at nearly $500.

BURGLARY: Abingdon -- Police said a compact disc-changer, two speakers and several cassette tapes were stolen from a car while it was parked in the 400 block of Crisfield Ave. The owner of the car told police the property was valued at more than $1,000.

Howard County

ARSONS: Columbia -- Police and fire investigators said someone set fire to three trash bins and a truck Christmas morning. One of the trash bin fires occurred outside Oakland Mills Middle School in the 9500 block of Kilimanjaro Road. Later, firefighters responded to the Owen Brown School in the 6700 block of Cradle Rock Way and extinguished another trash bin fire. The third trash bin fire occurred next to the Cradle Rock Mobil station. Police said the trash bin fires were confined to the trash bins themselves. Also burned was a truck parked on Overheart Lane. Police said all four fires broke out in a period of two hours.

BURGLARY: Columbia -- A resident of the 6000 block of Majors Lane reported that someone broke into his home by breaking a master bedroom window and stole several pieces of gold jewelry, clothing and two TV sets. Police said the value of the property was not available.

BURGLARY: Ellicott City -- Employees of a construction company reported that someone broke into a storage trailer while it was parked in the 10000 block of U.S. 40 and stole an electric generator and several lengths of copper wiring.

BURGLARY: West Friendship -- A resident of the 500 block of River Road reported that someone broke into his outdoor storage shed and stole a Kawasaki dirt bike. Police said entry into the shed was by someone prying open the latch.

CAR THEFTS: Elkridge -- Employees of the Baltimore Auto Exchange in the 7100 block of Brookdale Drive told police that someone entered the property by cutting through the chain-link fence and stole four cars. Taken were a Thunderbird, Mustang, Escort and a Taurus GL. Police said the value of the cars was not known.
