County narcotics police seized $4,600 cash from a Linthicum hotel room Saturday morning and have targeted four suspects in a drug investigation.
Officers from the narcotics unit and the special operations squad searched the hotel room at about 3:30 a.m. Saturday. They found the cash, and a dog detected the odor of illegal drugs on the money, police said.
No arrests have been made, but police say they are continuing their investigation of four suspects. Police have not released the namesof the suspects or of the hotel.
MAN, 22, CHARGED IN SEVERN ROBBERY
A 22-year-old Severn man is being held at the County Detention Center, charged with armed robbery in a convenience store holdup.
Hilton E. Brooks, of the 7800 block of Myers Drive, was arrested
outside his home early yesterday morning after a clerk at a 7-Eleven on Donaldson Avenue in Severn reported an armed robbery. Police arrested Brooks and brought him to the store. There, police said, the clerk identified him as the man who held up the store at 5 a.m.
Brooks wasthen taken to the Western District station, where he was questioned and charged.
The police provided few details of the robbery. A spokesman said the robber "implied" he had a weapon but that no weapon was seen or recovered. Police also did not say what was taken in the robbery.
