This is a weekly summary of selected prime contracts recently awarded by the federal government to companies and other vendors in Maryland.

Maryland contracts

Motorola Inc. in Landover won a $1,287,498 contract from the Department of the Treasury to provide data encryption standard VHF radio equipment.

Beta Construction Co. in Capitol Heights won a $943,000 contract from the GSA to replace the roof in the Department of Housing and Urban Development building.

J&R; Roofing in Jessup won a $591,411 contract from the Department of Agriculture to provide a headquarters complex training facility.

R & N Contractors Inc. in White Plains won a $560,000 contract from the Navy to provide alterations to buildings 101/246.

Spacesaver Systems Inc. in Kensington won a $439,007 contract from the Department of Agriculture to provide high-density movable shelving systems.

James R. Roane Construction Co. Inc. in Forestville won a $328,240 contract from the Navy to provide new construction and major additions to existing buildings or facilities.

Williams & Heintz Map Corp. in Capitol Heights won a $263,998 contract from the Government Printing Office to provide offset printing services.

Victor Graphics in Baltimore won a $224,985 contract from the Government Printing Office to provide book printing services.

Applied Specialties Inc. in Beltsville, won a $162,089 contract from the Navy to provide adapter radio kits.

Anchor Van Lines in Lexington Park won a $145,260 contract from the Army to provide packing, crating and drayage services.
