Eleven people face drug charges resulting from police raids on six suspected crack houses in the Odenton and Severn areas Wednesday.
Coy Ellis Barker Jr., 35, was charged with possession of cocaine afterpolice raided a home in the 400 block of Patuxent Road in Odenton.
Barker was arrested at the home of Steven Ray Fields, 33, who also was charged with two counts of distribution of cocaine and solicitation to commit murder.
Detectives said the solicitation charge stemmed from Fields' contract with an undercover police officer to kill Fields' girlfriend's estranged husband.
Fields' brother, Richard Lee Fields, 29, who lives next door, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine. Police seized five grams of cocaine from him after searching his home, detectives said.
A 17-year-old boywas charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine after that search.
After police searched another home in the 8200 block of WB&A; Road, they charged Oscar Mora, 29, Lora Ruth Mora, 32, Angel Perez Ruibal, 48, and Candida Dorotea Baro Torres, 45, with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
They all lived at the WB&A; Road address, police said. Thirty-year-old David Scott Farmer was also arrested at that address and charged with possession of paraphernalia.
Investigators seized a quarter-ounce of cocaine, three one-gram packets of cocaine and a small amount of marijuana from the house, police said.
Dianne Lynn Schmier, 30, also was charged with possession of paraphernalia, police said, after detectives searched a home in the 700 block 203rd Street in Pasadena.
Michael Lewis Tyler, 22, of the 7900 block of Telegraph Road, was charged with distribution of cocaine and solicitation to commit murder. Police said they seized 75bags of cocaine and one ounce of marijuana while searching his home.
Police also said they confiscated drug paraphernalia from a home in the 1400 block of Annapolis Road.
GLEN BURNIE MAN ARRESTED AFTER SEARCH
A Glen Burnie man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police stopped him in Freetown Village Wednesday.
Police said officers saw two men walk up to a white truck on Shirley Murphy Court. After the officers watched a short conversation between the men and the driver, the officers walked up to the truck, police said.
The driver tried to pull away with one of the men hanging out of the truck, police said. The officers stopped the vehicle, but bothmen who were talking to the driver had escaped, police said.
Officers searched the truck and found a crack pipe, police said.
Paul Douglas Wociechowski, 27, of the 8000 block of Greenleaf Terrace, wastaken to Northern District Station to be charged.
