The amount of popcorn sold at the Senator Theatre this year was incorrectly stated Monday in an article in the Today section. The amount is actually 10,700 pounds.
The Sun regrets the errors.
What a year -- we can't wait for it to end, already!
War, recession, layoffs, highly televised battles between the sexes -- 1991 was one of the worst years we can remember. Of course, we had some fun, especially in Baltimore where Queen Elizabeth came to Memorial Stadium and Claude Monet came to the Baltimore Museum of Art.
But words fail us when we try to describe this year, so we've decided to let numbers tell the story. Here, then, is an entirely serendipitous, pseudo-scientific listing of some vital statistics for 1991.
