MOLINARO RESIGNS FROM BOARD

THE BALTIMORE SUN

School board member Richard C. Molinaro has resigned following the death of his wife, Mary Lou.

Mrs. Molinaro, 40, died last month after a long struggle with breast cancer.

Mr. Molinaro, 39, an insurance executive and former special education teacher, served as the board's chairman last year. His five-yearterm would have ended in June.

His departure leaves a vacancy on the seven-member board, which is appointed by the governor.

The board is accepting applications to serve the balance of Mr. Molinaro's term. The position pays $1,200 annually.

Board seats are representative of geographic districts in the county. His replacement would represent the Abingdon/Edgewood area.

The new board member would have to seek reappointment in May from the county's nominating caucus, which makes recommendations to the governor.

Those interested in the position should call Al Seymour, 838-7300.
