ELREANE TWIGG , ELLICOTT CITY RESIDENT

Services for Elreane L. Twigg, 93, a resident of Ellicott City for 30 years, took place Friday at Myers Funeral Home in Westminster. The Rev. Marvin Simpson conducted the services. Mrs. Twigg buried at Krider's Lutheran Church and Cemetery in Westminster.

Mrs. Twigg died Tuesday at Carroll County General Hospital of pneumonia shortly aftersuffering a stroke on December 3.

She attended Bethany Lane Baptist Church in Ellicott City. She was the daughter of Albert and Mabel Gatley, both deceased, and the wife of Lester A. Twigg, who died in 1963.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry B. and Lester A. Twigg Jr., both of Ellicott City; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

During World War I, she cut short her education at Shorter College in Rome, Ga., to assist hermother in caring for influenza victims during an epidemic in the Washington area. They took people into their home.

She worked for theU.S. Treasury Department after World War I and also was a practical nurse.
