COUNTY RECYCLING DROP-OFF SITES

Glass jars and bottles, aluminum and tin cans, certain plastic screw-top bottles, newspaper and corrugated cardboard are accepted for recycling at the following locations:

* Glen Burnie Convenience Center, Dover Road

* Sudley Landfill, NutwellSudley Road

Monday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

* Maryland City Fire Department, Route 198

First Saturday of each month, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

* Cape St. Claire Fire Department, Cape St. Clair Road

Second Saturday of each month, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

*Lake Shore Plaza Shopping Center, Mountain Road

Third Saturday ofeach month, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

* Severna Park Shopping Center, McKinsey Road and B&A; Blvd.

Fourth Saturday of each month, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Glen Burnie Convenience Center, Millersville Landfill and Sudley Landfill also accept used oil and anti-freeze for recycling. Used oil and anti-freeze should be in containers no larger than five gallons and should be free of water and other contaminants.

The Glen Burnie Convenience Center accepts scrap metals (no commercial vehicles permitted) for recycling. White goods, such as refrigerators, and metal items collected through the BulkItem Pick Up Service are also recycled. Only certain items can be picked up through the service.
