The 76ers' Charles Barkley yesterday vowed his new autobiography, "Outrageous," won't be released because his ghostwriter, Roy S. Johnson of Sports Illustrated, misquoted him. Then Barkley changed his mind.

"There are going to be a couple of things [wrong]," Barkley said. "The majority of the book is correct, and I stick by it."

Among the quotes that have him upset is this one about Manute Bol: "We traded a first-round draft choice for a 28-year-old flyswatter who could score only 1.9 points a game. Hell, my grandmother could score two points a game, as long as she wasn't double-teamed."
