Here's what to look for if you're traveling in the Baltimore metropolitan area this week. This list of highway projects includes only newly announced work, not continuing construction, which is extensive on several highways, including Interstate 95, U.S. 50/301 and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.
New projects
Fallsway between Eager, Biddle and Chase streets is closed because of reconstruction of the Fallsway and Chase Street bridges.
Bus route changes:
The MTA has scheduled the following changes in bus routes for this week. Information: 539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired: 539-3497.
Temporary diversions
Saratoga Street between Calvert Street and lower St. Paul Street and lower St. Paul Street between Saratoga and Lexington Street will be closed until 6 a.m. tomorrow because of construction.
Nos. 15 and 23 -- Westbound via regular route on Saratoga to Guilford Avenue, south on Guilford, west on Fayette Street, north on Charles Street, west on Saratoga, then via regular route. No change eastbound.
No. 62 -- Westbound via regular route southbound on Guilford to Saratoga, south on Guilford, west on Fayette, south on St. Paul, then via regular route. No change eastbound.
Nos. 15 and 23 -- Lexington Street between Guilford Avenue and Gay Street will be closed today from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. because of Christmas festivities. Eastbound via regular route to St. Paul and Lexington, south on St. Paul, east on Baltimore Street, north on Gay to Lexington, then via regular route. No change westbound.
Holiday service
Nos. 5, 7, 15, 20 and 23 -- Expanded Sunday service on these lines will be available today and on Dec. 15 and 22 between noon and 6 p.m. An additional 50 trips have been added to the schedule for customers' convenience.
