Historic sites, museums and gardens in Anne Arundel include:

* Helen Avalynne Tawes Garden, Taylor Avenue and Rowe Boulevard, Annapolis, adjacent to the Natural Resources Building. The garden features plantings characteristic of the ecological zones within Maryland. Guided tours are available. Open daily, year round from sunrise to sunset.

* The Historical Electronics Museum, 920 Elkridge Landing Road, Linthicum. The museum exhibits a wide variety of breakthroughs in electronics technology, emphasizing radar, countermeasures, and communications. Open 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the first Saturday of each month.Normal hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

* Chase-Lloyd House, 22 Maryland Ave., Annapolis. House is circa 1769. Open from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays. Admission is $1.

*Hammond-Harwood House, 19 Maryland Ave., Annapolis. House is circa 1774. Open in Feb. from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 10a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is $3for adults and $2 for children ages 6 to 18.

* William Paca House and Garden, 186 Prince George St., Annapolis. House is circa 1763. Open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays throughSaturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays.
