A 54-year-old restaurant owner called a gunman's bluff when the restaurateur pulled out his own handgun during a robbery attempt at his carry-out Wednesday.
The would-be robber walked into the Italian Sunlight Carryout in the 7700 block of B&A; Boulevard in Glen Burnie at about 11:30p.m. Armed with a revolver, he confronted the owner and demanded money from the cash register. The owner walked behind the counter as if to obey but took out his own handgun instead, the police report said.
He pointed his gun at the gunman, and the man ran out of the restaurant, police said.
Police described the gunman as a white male in his late teens. He was about 5 feet 1 inch tall with a thin build and long dirty blond hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a white hat.
