A 27-year-old man found shot early today on a West Baltimore street died at a hospital.

Police were called to the 1100 block of Smithson St. in West Baltimore about 2:20 a.m. after a report of gunshots. Arthur Long III, of the 500 block of N. Calhoun St., was found lying on his back on a sidewalk.

Long died at University of Maryland Medical Center at 3:55 a.m. of multiple gunshot wounds.

Investigators say they have no motive and no suspects.

Long's slaying was the 275th in Baltimore this year. There were 276 murders as of this date last year.
