ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Joseph Christian, of the 2800 block of W. Belvedere Ave., reported he was near his home Monday evening when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded his money. Police said the men took Christian's cash and the food items he was carrying. The property, police said, was valued at more than $100.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Police said Shontel Oliver, of the 3300 block of Brighton St., was walking in the 2000 block of Gwynns Falls Parkway Monday evening when a man approached her from behind and stole the purse she was carrying. Police said the man escaped with cash and property, all valued at more than $200.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Officials of the Community College of Baltimore in the 2900 block of Liberty Heights Ave. reported that someone entered an office in the media services department shortly before Thanksgiving Day and stole a video camera. Police said the property was valued at $800 and that apparently a key was used to enter the room.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- Police reported that an elderly woman was assaulted and robbed yesterday morning after a man entered her home in the 3400 block of S. Hanover St. Police said when the woman answered a knock at her door around 10 a.m., she was struck by a man and knocked to the floor. Police said the man robbed the woman of nearly $175 in cash and escaped.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 800 block of Scott St. reported he was home yesterday evening when someone knocked on the door. Upon answering, the elderly resident was assaulted by two men, one armed with a gun, who also robbed him of more than $200. Police said the victim was not injured.

ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- Billy Cummings, of the 200 block of S. Broadway, reported that while he and another man were drinking yesterday evening at his home, the other man picked up a knife and attempted to cut him. Police said Cummings was not injured and that the other man was being sought.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Stephen Duffy, 18, of the 5900 block of Benton Heights Ave., and Richard Sabra, 37, of the 2000 block of Kilmore Road, told police they were beaten with sticks yesterday while in a car in the 6300 block of O'Donnell St. Duffy told police he had driven into an alley to turn around when two men, one armed with a handgun, appeared on either side of the car and demanded money. Duffy told police that when he told the men he had no money, one of them reached into the car and stole his wallet, which was lying on the seat. Duffy said both men then struck him and Sabra with sticks before they fled the scene. Police said neither Duffy or Sabra were seriously injured and that Duffy's wallet contained a small sum of money.

ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- Police yesterday arrested an 18-year-old resident of the 200 block of N. Collington Ave. and were holding him at the station pending assault charges. The victim, Angela Parker, 36, also of the 200 block of N. Collington Ave., told police that during an incident at her home she was attacked by the man who struck her with a hammer.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Frank Devan, 31, of the 100 block of S. Exeter St., told police he was in an elevator inside a high-rise apartment building in the 100 block of Albemarle St. shortly after 8 p.m. yesterday when he was attacked by two men when the elevator door opened. Devan told police the men struck him with their fists before robbing him of his ring, valued at $400.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 900 block of Homestead Ave. reported to police that someone broke into his home yesterday and stole a compact disc player. Police said the property was valued at more than $100.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Mark Scheiner, of the 2800 block of Pelham Ave., reported that someone entered the back yard of his home between Monday and yesterday and stole his bike. Police said the bike was worth $150.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Employees of Pizza Boli's in the 6300 block of Belair Road reported that someone entered the yard behind their business Monday morning and stole an oven-vent hood that was being stored there. The employees told police the equipment was valued at $500.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that a man armed with a handgun entered the T-Shirt shop in the Parkville Shopping Center, 7600 block of Harford Road, shortly after 7 p.m. yesterday and ordered a clerk to give him the contents of the cash register. Police said the clerk complied, giving the gunman an undisclosed sum of cash.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police said two teen-agers were walking in the 5900 block of Moravia Road yesterday afternoon when they were attacked by two men who knocked them to the ground and robbed them of their jackets. Police said the jackets were valued at $200 each and that the victims, both of whom live in the 5200 block of Eastbury Ave., were not injured.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2900 block of St. Paul St. told police that someone broke into his home between Monday and yesterday and stole a video camera and a TV. Police said the property was valued at more than $1,000.

THEFT: Northern District -- Everett Ellis, of the 4000 block of Hickory Ave., told police that someone broke into his car while the vehicle was parked near his home and stole more than $700 worth of assorted hand and power tools. Police said entry was gained by forcing the driver's door open.

THEFT: Northern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a car owned by Myer Gerchikoff, of the 4800 block of Yellow Wood Ave., while the vehicle was parked near his home and stole a radio valued at $100.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A deliveryman for Pizza Boli's in the 1700 block of E. Northern Parkway told police he was about to make a delivery in the 5900 block of Chinquapin Parkway around 7:30 p.m. Monday when he was stopped by a man who indicated he was armed with a handgun. Police said the deliveryman gave up $60 in cash to the man, who escaped on foot.

THEFT: Northern District -- An employee of the C&P; Telephone Co. told police that while his truck was parked in the 400 block of Ilchester Ave. yesterday morning, someone entered the vehicle and stole an electronic pager. Police said the equipment was valued at more than $100.

THEFT: Northern District -- Francis Cougle, of the 1300 block of Appleby Ave., reported that while his 1984 Volkswagen was parked near his home between Monday night and yesterday morning someone forced their way into the vehicle and stole a stereo radio, four speakers and a pair of sunglasses. Police said the property was valued at more than $800.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 600 block of Somerset Road reported that someone forced their way into his home between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. yesterday and stole several sets of silverware. Police said the cutlery was valued at more than $3,000 and that entry was gained by breaking a window.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Richard Girouard, 53, of the 600 block of Gusryan St. in southeast Baltimore, told police he was in the 400 block of Kenwood Ave. last night when he was assaulted by a man armed with a knife who cut him on the left hand. After cutting Girouard, the man stole the victim's 1991 Mazda. Police said Girouard refused medical treatment at the scene.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Garrison District -- Police reported a man who indicated he was armed with a handgun robbed the 7-Eleven store in the first block of Greenwood Place in Pikesville of an undisclosed sum of cash Monday afternoon. Police said a man entered the store around 2:30 p.m. and asked for a pack of cigarettes. When the clerk opened the cash register, the man placed one hand in his jacket pocket as though he was holding a gun and ordered the clerk to give him the contents of the cash register. Police said the man ran out the front door and escaped on foot.

ROBBERY: White Marsh District -- Police said a man armed with a handgun robbed the Mars supermarket in the 9500 block of Philadelphia Road Monday evening but dropped his gun and a $100 bill while being chased by the manager. Police said the man entered the store shortly before 5 p.m. Monday and jumped over the counter at the courtesy desk. There, he pointed a gun at the store's manager and demanded the money from a cash drawer. After taking an undisclosed sum of cash, the gunman jumped back over the counter and ran toward a rear door. After exiting the building, the gunman spotted the manager running after him and in his haste to flee, dropped the gun and a $100 bill. Police said the man outdistanced the manager and escaped.

Anne Arundel County

ROBBERY: Arnold -- Police reported a man armed with a handgun robbed a 17-year-old girl of her money while she and a male companion sat in a car in the 400 block of Century Vista Drive. Police said while the couple were talking, a man armed with a handgun approached the vehicle on the driver's side and tapped on the window with the gun. When the driver lowered the window, the man shoved the gun inside the car and demanded the driver's money. Police said the driver grabbed the gun and was trying to take it from the other man's grasp when the girl gave the gunman $60 from her purse. Before fleeing the scene, the gunman struck the driver in the face with the weapon. Police said the driver was not seriously injured.

DRUG ARRESTS: Glen Burnie -- Police on patrol in the Valley Brook apartment complex saw what appeared to be a drug transaction between two men and investigated. When the officers searched the men they found drug paraphernalia that later tested positive for cocaine and marijuana. Charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana were Richard K. Mustin, 26, of the 8200 block of Jumpers Hole Road, and Isaac Chestnut, 36, of the 100 block of Jennings Road, both residents of Severna Park.

BURGLARY: Annapolis -- A resident of the 3100 block of Newchurch Court reported that someone broke into his home by forcing a door and stole several pieces of jewelry. Police said the property was valued at nearly $1,900.

BURGLARY: Edgewater -- Police said a VCR valued at $500 was stolen from a dwelling in the 500 block of Old Mill Swamp Road after someone gained entry by force.

BURGLARY: Glen Burnie -- A mountain bike was stolen from a house in the first block of Mapledale Road after someone gained entry through a door. Police said the bike was valued at nearly $200.

BURGLARY: Millersville -- Police said someone broke into a dwelling in the 400 block of Ellwell Court and stole several tools. Police said the tools were valued at $500 and that entry was gained by forcing a door.
