George V. Heiser Electronic engineer

...TC Services for George V. Heiser, an electronic engineer for the General Electric Co.'s Government Services Division in Arlington, will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Barranco and Sons Funeral Home, Ritchie Highway and Robinson Road in Severna Park.

Mr. Heiser, who was 52 and lived in Manhattan Beach, died Wednesday of cancer at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

He had been with General Electric since 1988, having worked previously for Rockwell International and the Raytheon Service Co., both in the Washington area, and the ARINC Research Corp. in Annapolis since moving to the Severna Park area 17 years ago.

The Arlington, Mass., native was reared in Brewster, Mass., and attended Northeastern University in Boston. He later graduated from the Milwaukee School of Engineering, and earned a master's degree at Marquette University.

Mr. Heiser also served in the Navy aboard submarines for 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, the former Jane-Carol Bonczek; a son, Joseph Lawrence Heiser, and a daughter, Ann-Elizabeth Heiser, both of Manhattan Beach; his mother, Leona Doyle, and a brother, Stephen Doyle, both of Brewster, Mass.

The family suggested memorial contributions could be made to the American Cancer Society.
