BURGLARY: Central District -- A resident of the 500 block of Cathedral St. told police someone broke into her home through a back window, but nothing apparently was taken.
THEFT: Central District -- Officials of the McCrory's store in the first block of W. North Ave. told police a man attempted to steal two pairs of underwear, two packs of batteries and three candles, all valued at $28. Police charged Anthony White, of the 400 block of E. 24th St., with the theft.
THEFT: Central District -- Barry Thomas, of the 100 block of W. Read St., told police someone broke into his car in the 1800 block of Maryland Ave. and stole a black leather jacket, black leather chaps and black leather gloves, all valued at $621.
THEFT: Central District -- Charles Matthews, of the 100 block of Greenmeadow Drive, told police someone broke into his car in the 200 block of N. Charles St. and stole a black suit, white shirt, tan suspenders, a paisley tie and various tools, all valued at $175.
ARMED ROBBERY: Central District -- Alfred Stubbs, 300 block of McMechen St., told police he was leaving his garage in the 100 block of Mosher St. when two men approached him and threatened him with a shiny revolver, saying, "Give up the money." Stubbs handed over his wallet containing credit cards and $37.
BURGLARY: Central District -- Officials of the Rehab Housing Project in the 1500 block of St. Paul Place told police someone broke into one of their homes in the 500 block of Laurens St. and stole a gas stove and a wall thermostat, value unknown.
THEFT: Central District -- Brian J. Mueller, whose address was not available, told police someone broke into his vehicle in the first block of S. Gay St. and stole a canvas bag, two suits, four pair of shoes and other clothing, all valued at $1,860.
THEFT: Central District -- Michael L. White, 800 block of Newington Ave., told police someone he knows stole a $279 video recorder from his home.
THEFT: Southeastern District -- Joseph Smith, of the 1800 block of Edgewood Road, told police someone broke into his car in the 400 block of N. Caroline St. and stole a gray suit and other clothing, all valued at $350.
PURSE SNATCH: Southeastern District -- Sonia Hawkins, 1400 block of N. Fulton Ave., told police that a man grabbed her purse from behind in the 1900 block of E. Monument St. and ran off. The thief got $380, police said.
THEFT: Southeastern District -- Annette Boston, 100 block of Aisquith St., told police someone she knows stole $225 worth of food stamps from a drawer in her home.
THEFT: Southeastern District -- Officials of Kaufman's Department Store in Oldtown Mall told police a man stole a jacket valued at $279 from a display and attempted to leave the store without paying. Police said they arrested Michael Jones, age and address unavailable, and charged him with the theft.
PURSE SNATCH: Southeastern District -- Brenda Meeks, of the 600 block of Savage St., told police a man grabbed her purse in the 600 block of S. Highland Ave. Total loss was put at $325.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1800 block of E. 29th St. told police someone broke into his home through the basement door and stole property valued at $300.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Laverna L. Leak, 2600 block of Harford Road, told police that during a party in her home someone made off with a watch valued at $400.
PURSE SNATCH: Northeastern District -- Mary Faupel, 4300 block of Clareway, told police two men grabbed her purse in the 3000 block of Mayfield Ave. Total loss was valued at $10.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Dorothy Edwards, of the 6600 block of English Oak Road, told police that she got into a fight with someone she knows in the 3900 block of Loch Raven Blvd. Police said Edwards sustained a cut to her arm that required two stitches.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4000 block of the Alameda told police someone broke into her home and stole her television set and video recorder, together valued at $1,300.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4500 block of Shamrock Ave. told police someone pried out the glass from his front door and stole a video recorder, stereo and compact disc player worth a total of $1,025.
STOLEN AUTO: Northeastern District -- Warren McCombs, of the 5300 block of Purdue Road, told police someone stole his car from the 1200 block of Windemere Ave.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1600 block of Northwick Road told police someone broke into her home and stole various property worth $520.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Christopher Wallace, of the 1200 block of Linworth Ave., said someone stole $1,993 worth of jewelry from his bedroom while he was out. There were no signs of forced entry.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Joseph Aiello, 1800 block of Stevens Road, told police someone broke into his parked car in the 6700 block of Pulaski Highway and stole a jacket worth $240.
THEFT: Northern District -- Mark Norton, of the 600 block of Homestead St., told police someone stole $130 from his pants.
THEFT: Northern District -- Lori Andreas of Bethlehem, Pa., told police that someone broke into her parked 1986 Ford pickup truck in the 2700 block of N. Calvert St. and stole a radar detector, television set and other property, all valued at $500.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2400 block of Shirley Ave. told police that someone broke into her home and stole a video recorder and a stereo system, together valued at $1,300.
THEFT: Northern District -- Kevin Gandy, 3600 block of Glenwood Drive, told police someone climbed in through a rear window of his vehicle and stole a stereo amplifier valued at $150.
ARMED ROBBERY: Northern District -- Harvey Elliott Jr., of the 2900 block of Huntingdon Ave., told police someone in the 2900 block of Lovegrove St. robbed her of a digital watch and a wallet worth a total of $27.
ARMED ROBBERY: Northern District -- Officials of the Southland Corp. told police a man with a handgun robbed their 7-Eleven store in the 200 block of W. 28th St. No one was injured.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 400 block of W. 28th St. told police someone broke into his home and stole a coat valued at $350.
ARMED ROBBERY: Northern District -- Nancy Belcher, 3800 block of St. Paul St., told police that a man with a handgun approached her and demanded cash as she was making a transaction at the electronic teller machine in the first block of Millbrook Road. The assailant made off with the victim's purse containing $115. Police said Belcher was shaken up but not injured.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 300 block of Southway told police someone pried open a storm window at her home and stole $700 worth of property.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 300 block of W. 28th St. told police someone broke into his home and stole two .38-caliber handguns valued at $108.
THEFT: Northern District -- Frederick Showalter, of the 5500 block of Cedar St., told police someone broke into his car in the 2500 block of N. Calvert St. and stole $120 worth of household items.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said someone broke into the basement of the Portside Inn in the 4600 block of York Road and stole a television set and cigarettes, all valued at $450.
ARMED ROBBERY: Northern District -- James K. Little, 1200 block of E. Belvedere Ave., told police he was approached in the 5600 block of the Alameda by a man with a handgun. The man took a beeper and a gold watch from the victim. Total value was put at $500.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2200 block of Ashburton St. told police that someone broke into her home and stole a leather coat and a television set, together valued at $575.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 1600 block of N. Calhoun St. told police someone broke into her home through a rear bedroom window and stole a video recorder, typewriter and telephone, all valued at $494.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Kimberly Jackson, of the 6500 block of Woodgreen Circle, told police a man with a handgun threatened her in the 2700 block of Walbrook Ave. and took an undetermined amount of money from her.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2600 block of Edmondson Ave. told police someone broke into his home and stole a refrigerator, a stereo system, shoes and a queen-size box spring mattress, all valued at $445.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 1300 block of N. Calhoun St. told police someone broke into her home and stole a microwave oven and crystal worth a total of $300.
THEFT: Western District -- Dentrice Smith, of the 1400 block of W. Fayette St., told police that someone she knows took from her home a pocketbook containing $183 worth of food stamps.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2900 block of W. Lexington St. told police that someone broke into her home and stole a stereo and a television set, together valued at $300.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: Western District -- Jean Phillips, 1300 block of N. Mount St., told police an acquaintance hit her in the head with a frying pan during an argument in the 200 block of N. Gilmor St. Police said Phillips was treated at Bon Secours Hospital.
THEFT: Western District -- Victor Davis, 6900 block of Reisterstown Road, told police that someone broke into his parked car in the 1100 block of N. Monroe St. and stole various tools valued at $1,500.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2200 block of Madison Ave. told police someone broke into her home and stole two video recorders valued at $600.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2300 block of W. Lanvale St. told police someone broke into his home and stole a crystal decanter worth $50.
