Western edges City for City-Wide swim title

The winner of Tuesday's City-Wide swimming championship was listed incorrectly in one edition of The Sun yesterday. Western won with 409 points, followed by City College with 397 and Polytechnic Institute with 233. Also, the name of a swimmer from City was reported incorrectly. Adrienne Mullikin won the 100 freestyle.

The Sun regrets the errors.

Western, the regular-season A Conference champion, captured the 1991 City-Wide swimming championship yesterday at Coppin State.

Western finished with 409 points. City was second with 397, and Poly, the defending champion, had 233.

Rachel Kloze (50-meter butterfly), Michelle Jacobus (100 freestyle) and Angie Milliken (100 backstroke) claimed first-place medals for City, which also won the 200 freestyle and medley relays.

Patterson won the B Conference crown, outdistancing Southern, 427-304. Patterson was led by triple winner Angie Stilling (100 individual medley, 50 breast stroke, 100 breast stroke).

The Clippers finished first in 11 of 12 events. Lisa Johns (100 and 200 freestyle) and Lisa Dillon (50 and 100 backstroke) also gained first-place medals.
