The NCAA's early signing period for high school basketball players begins tomorrow and continues through Nov. 20, but only a few local players are expected to commit to colleges at this time.
Towson Catholic's Tony Bishop and Sydney Johnson have made their decisions. Bishop, a 6-foot-7 forward, will sign with South Alabama. Bishop also had considered Loyola and Lamar (Texas).
Johnson, a 6-3 guard who is an excellent student, has decided on Boston University over Northeastern and several Ivy League schools, Towson Catholic coach Mike Daniel said.
Cardinal Gibbons' 5-10 shooting guard Quinton Moody is leaning toward Towson State over Maine and Holy Cross and may sign early. He was selected defensive player of the week at two Five-Star camps this summer.
