George B. Randall, 96, taught at Poly

George B. Randall, who taught French at the Polytechnic Institute for more than 30 years, died Sunday of heart failure at a hospital in Greensboro, N.C. He was 96.

Graveside services for Mr. Randall will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Guilford Memorial Park in Greensboro.

He retired in the mid-1960s after teaching at Poly since the early 1930s and before that at the Washington Collegiate Institute, in Washington, N.C., where he began his teaching career in 1916.

He is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Eubank; a daughter, Betty Randall Younts of Greensboro; a sister, Lois Respess of Washington, N.C.; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
