Ethel M. Fields Miles

Ethel M. Fields Miles, a homemaker, died Tuesday at her home in Glen Burnie after having a heart attack. She was 73.

A native of Baltimore, the former Ethel Jackson married George Fields in 1936, and the couple made their home in Baltimore.

After her children were grown, she worked for the state for about 10 years until retiring in the late 1960s.

Her first husband died in 1961. She married Elmer W. Miles in 1967.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Donald Fields of Cambridge; a daughter, Sharon Gividen of Glen Burnie; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

At her request, her body was donated to the State Anatomy Board for research.
