Five hundred and fifty runners recently participated in the second annual Glen Burnie and B & A Trail 10K Race.

Glen Burnie's Steve Egolf captured the men's open division in 32 minutes, 37 seconds, whilePatricia Kenny-Ryan of Burtonsville (Howard County) won the women's open crown for the second consecutive year in 38:19.

Proceeds from the race went to North Arundel Hospital's PediatricUnit, as nearly $5,000 has been donated to the unit in the last two years.

Channel 2 sportscaster Keith Mills was the honorary chairman for the event, which was co-sponsored by North Arundel Hospital andthe county Recreation and Parks Department.
