Seamstress, 84

A Mass of Christian burial for Sadie Palermo took place Sept. 27 at St. Andrew by the Bay Church in Cape St. Claire.

Miss Palermo, 84, died of cancer Sept. 24 at the Annapolis Convalescence Center.

Born and raised in Brooklyn,N.Y., she worked as a seamstress for a glove manufacturing company.

Miss Palermo is survived by two brothers, Michael LaCourte of Annapolis and Andrew LaCourte of Long Island, N.Y.; and a niece, Jessie McCoy of Arnold.


Machinist, 32

Graveside services for Herbert A. Chandler of Glen Burnie took place Sept. 28 at Meadowridge Memorial Park.

Mr. Chandler, 32, died suddenly at home Sept. 25.

The Baltimore native attended Glen Burnie High School and worked as a machine operator for the J. E. Smith Co.

Mr. Chandler is survived by his wife, Pam Chandler of Glen Burnie; a dear friend, Sandy Frantz of Pasadena; a son, Thomas F. Chandler of Glen Burnie, and daughter, Trista Frantz of Pasadena; his parents, Thomas F. Chandler of Glen Burnie andMary L. Dickerson of Surfside Beach, S.C., a stepmother, Clara Chandler of Glen Burnie; grandmothers, Erma Chandler, Mary Campbell and Mary Woodey of Millersville; six brothers, Thomas R. Chandler, Jeff Campbell, Michael Campbell, Daniel Pursley, Tony Pursley and Neil Pursley, all of Glen Burnie; and a sister, Deborah Schaffner of Glen Burnie.
