MAN MUGGED SAT. IN MARYLAND CITY

A 25-year-old Baltimore man was robbed at gunpoint Saturday outside an apartment building in Maryland City, county police said.

Policesaid at about 12:10 a.m., the victim was walking to an apartment in the 3500 block of Laurel-Fort Meade Road when a gunman walked up to him and demanded his wallet.

The man gave him his wallet, and the gunman and three othermen ran toward the road, police said.

Police described the gunman as a black male in his late teens, about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He had shorthair and was wearing a dark-colored shirt and pants and a red baseball cap.

Police gave no description of the other three men.

WOMAN, 18, RAPED IN SHOPPING CENTER

An 18-year-old woman told police she was raped at 10 p.m. Saturday in the back of a car that was parked atthe Chesapeake Square Shopping Center in Glen Burnie, county police said.

Police described the rapist as white and about 19 years old.

GUNMAN ROBS MAN AT LINTHICUM STORE

An Ellicott City man was robbed of $300 Saturday night outside a Linthicum liquor store.

County police said the man was in the parking lot of Al's Liquor Store on Nursery Road at noon, when another man asked him if he had change for $20. The first man pulled out about $300.

The robber lifted his jacket, exposed a gun and then grabbed the money, police said.

He told the victim to turn around and walk away, police said. When the man turned around, the gunman was gone.

The robber was described as a black male, about 6 feet tall and 160 pounds. He was in his early 20s, wearing a red baseball hat and a blue wind-breaker.

WOMAN ASSAULTED, ROBBED IN LAUREL

County police were looking yesterday for the men who robbed a Columbia woman and stole her car Friday in a Laurel parking lot.

Police said the woman was walking to her car outside a grocery store in the 3400 block of Laurel-Fort Meade Road at about 9:45 p.m. when two men walked up to her.

One of the men hit her in the head and took her purse. They also took her car keys and drove offin her 1987 Toyota Camry, police said.

Police described one robber as a black man about 6 feet tall and 180 pounds. He was wearing a bright green sweat shirt and jeans.

TRAFFIC STOP YIELDS ARREST FOR POSSESSION

An Odenton man was charged with possession of PCP after a county police officer stopped him at the intersection of Route 3 and Davidsonville Road early Friday morning.

Police said Charles Edward Moreland Jr., 28, of no fixed address, also was charged with theft and driving on a revoked license.

According to investigators, Officer Paul Roberts was on patrol at 1 a.m. on Route 3 south, when he saw a 1980 Pontiac sitting in the wrong lane at the intersection with the left turn signal on.

When Roberts came close to the driver, he noticed a strong smell of PCP, police said. The driver began to struggle, and it took four officers to handcuff him, the report said.

Apassenger in the car, Caridad Rosita Vazquez, 36, of the 1800 block of Shore Drive in Edgewater, was charged with manufacturing PCP.

The car was reported stolen Sept. 3 from Prince George's County.

CITY TEEN CHARGED WITH DRUGS POSSESSION

County police have charged a 19-year-old Baltimore man with possession of cocaine and marijuana after stopping him in Freetown Village Friday night.

Charles Lee Mature, 19, of the 1900 block of Hope Street, also was charged with trespassing.

Police said Mature had been ordered by the county Housing Authority to stay out of Freetown Village. At about 6:30 p.m., an officer saw him in Freetown Village and arrested him. While searching hispockets, the officer said he found a small clear plastic tube containing marijuana and cocaine residue.

PURSE-SNATCHER ROBS ANNAPOLIS WOMAN

A 39-year-old Annapolis woman told police she was robbed of $632 in front of a fast-food restaurant in Annapolis Saturday morning.

Police said the woman was talking on a pay phone outside the Hardee's restaurant on the Route 50 access road near Cape St. Claire Road at about 12:30 when a man snatched her purse.

The robber ran into the woods near the restaurant. The victim told police she was at the restaurant to meet her landlord and was to give him the money for her rent.

Police searched the area but found no suspects. The robber is described as a black man in his late 20s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans.

TEEN CHARGED AFTER POLICE RAID BEER PARTY

A 17-year-old Pasadena boy was arrested after police broke up a beer party in his home late Friday night.

County police said the boy was charged as a juvenile with having a disorderly house after officers were called to a home in the 8600 block of Houlton Harbor for a loud party.

Officers arrived at about 10:15 p.m. to find several teen-agers carrying alcohol, using obscene language and urinating in the yard.

When they entered the house, the teen-agers inside started yelling and hiding beer cans, police said.

The 17-year-old boy told police he lived there and his mother was outof town. Police ordered everyone to leave and the boy was taken to the Eastern District to be charged.

DISPUTE OVER DRUGS LEADS TO KNIFE FIGHT

A Freetown man told police he was assaulted by a drug dealerduring an argument about drugs Friday.

Investigators said the 43-year-old man had gone to a home in the 1800 block of Levy Court to buy some crack cocaine from a dealer, whose street name is "Flip," the police report said.

After being paid, Flip asked the man if he wanted to buy some more. When the man declined, Flip became angry and punched him, the police report said.

Flip threw a knife at the man, striking him in the nose.

ODENTON MAN BEATEN BY 5 ASSAILANTS

A 19-year-old Odenton man told police he was beaten by five men in a parking lot in Crofton Friday night.

County police said the man was getting out of his car at about 9:30 p.m. when five men jumped him and began punching and kicking.

The man was treated at North Arundel Hospital for cuts and bruises and released, police said.

Investigators described the assailants as white teen-agers.

ALA. TEEN-AGER BEATEN ON MILLERSVILLE ROAD

County police were looking yesterday for the three men who beat an Alabama teen-ager as he was walking along a Millersville road early Friday morning.

Investigators said the 16-year-old was on Lanny Road at about 1:20 a.m. when three men began beating him.

The boy told police he did not know them or why they beat him.

Police described the assailants as a white male and two black males.

PEDESTRIAN INJURED IN DRIVE-BY SHOOTING

A 20-year-old Pasadena man was shot as he was walking on Mountain Road early Sunday morning, county police said.

Police said the pedestrian was almost struck at about 1 a.m. by a blue car, which then turned around.

Asthe car passed him again, a passenger shot him with a BB gun. The man was treated at North Arundel Hospital and released.

Police have no suspects.
