Albert Daisley, 64, was Baltimore Co. policeman

Albert E. Daisley, 64, a former Baltimore County police officer and state insurance investigator, died Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.

A memorial mass was being celebrated today at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 8500 Loch Raven Blvd.

Mr. Daisley was a sergeant in the county traffic division from 1951 to 1971. Later, he worked as a state insurance investigator for the Maryland Auto Insurance Fund from 1975 to 1988.

Mr. Daisley served in the Marine Corps during World War II.

He belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Parkville post, and to the Baltimore County Retired Police Association.

Mr. Daisley was born and reared in Hamilton.

Survivors include his wife, the former Norma Yob; a daughter, Kristine Daisley of Baltimore; a son, Joseph Daisley of Baltimore; a brother, Thomas Daisley of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Marion Powell of Ocean View, Del.; and his aunt, Elsie Dene Lieder of Baltimore.

The family suggested that donations be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
