College of Notre Dame in Baltimore established...


College of Notre Dame in Baltimore established the Sister Kathleen Feeley International Center with a $100,000 grant from the Kathleen Price and Joseph M. Bryan Family Foundation of Greensboro, N.C. The learning laboratory for language and culture honors Sister Feeley, who has been president of the college since 1971.

Quality Looseleaf Manufacturing Co., a subsidiary of Bindagraphics Inc., is moving to 2701 Wilmarco Ave. in the Crossroads Industrial Center in Baltimore.

Baltimore County Career Development Center on Eastern Avenue in Essex, a joint program of Essex and Dundalk Community Colleges, was named the Best Economic Development Activity in the Country by the National Council of Instructional Administrators. The center retrains people who were laid off from jobs and helps them find new employment.

Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks and Daft-McCune-Walker Inc. of Towson recently won the National Association of Counties Achievement Award and the American Society of Landscape Architects Merit Award for a master plan to analyze the need for public golf courses in the county.

Holland Design, a Columbia-based graphic design firm, and South Hills Mall in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., received an award from the Hudson Valley Area Marketing Association for a printed mailing designed for the mall.

Mark Santangelo won the Frank C. Carr award from Inroads, a national organization that helps minority college students establish careers in business and industry. Mr. Santangelo is director of human resources administration for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maryland.

Adams Sandler Inc., a marketing communications firm in Baltimore and Rockville, won an award for black and white advertising from the Sunday Magazine Advertising Conference. The award was given for a Saint Joseph Hospital Campaign that highlighted the hospital's high-technology resources.

Jack Alspaugh and William Ellison were presented with the Parade of Homes "People's Choice" award for excellence in home design.

John Toth Jr. of Fallston was named to the President's Circle of Excellency by ICI Pharmaceuticals Group. Mr. Toth is a district sales manager for Stuart Pharmaceuticals.

Days Inn-Baltimore Inner Harbor came in first in its nationwide management group during the fourth quarter of 1990 and the first quarter of 1991. The hotel also outperformed its own previous record of sales for the period.

All That Jazz II, a beauty salon, will open for business at the Belvedere Plaza this September.

Mullis Video Services reopened for business at a new location, 1540 S. Hanover St., Baltimore. The firm offers consultation services in video systems design, analysis and training.

Franklin Square Hospital opened an office at 7939 Honeygo Blvd. in the White Marsh Business Community. The new office will serve patient accounting, general accounting, and purchasing departments.

Century Engineering Inc. of Towson signed a $120 million contract with the Massachusetts Department of Public Works for the use or disposal of dredged and excavated materials that were accumulated during the construction of Boston's Central Artery and Third Harbor Tunnel.
