PICK OF THE WEEK: The members of the band Second Coming have ordinary names, except the drummer, who goes by Jay the Magnificent.

"Well, we found him in a Dumpster, so what do you expect?" jokes lead vocalist Joe Saitta.

Mr. Saitta, one of the band's two original members, finds lots to laugh about the 25-year-old band. "The age range of our members is 29 to 38," he said, adding with a laugh, "We're lying, can't you tell?"

Based in the Washington area, Second Coming plays a variety of music. "We play music from the '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s. We play oldies and we do a floor show, like in Las Vegas, with different costumes," Mr. Saitta said.

Other band members include the other original member Charles Taylor, lead vocals and percussion; Rob Farkas, keyboard, bass and string ensemble; Jay the Magnificent, drums; and Ted Casper, guitar.

The group is playing in Ocean City at Horizons in the Sheraton Inn, 101st Street and Coastal Highway, through next Sunday and will be back at Horizons the first and third weeks in October and on New Year's Eve.

This is the first year they have played at the Sheraton. In the past they have been at the Hurricane and the Gazebo, which are no longer in Ocean City; the Paddock; the Beach Club, which is now the Playpen; and Fenwick Inn.
