Services for Robert William Germann of Severna Park will take place at 2 p.m. today at Barranco and Sons Funeral Home. Burial will followat Meadowridge Memorial Park in Dorsey.

Mr. Germann, 88, died Sept. 4 after a lengthy bout with leukemia.

Born in Thompsontown, Penn., he lived locally for more than 40 years and worked as as a civil engineer, a superintendent at Bethlehem Steel and most recently as an engineering consultant. He was also a charter member of Chartwell Golf and Country Club.

Mr. Germann is preceded in death by his wife, Florence Germann.

Survivors include two brothers, William Germann of Huntington, Penn., and Ronald Germann of Port Orange, Fla.; and a sister, Elsie Rudisill of Altoona, Penn.

Services for Charles W. Rites of Arnold will take placeat 9 a.m. today at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Lorraine Park Mausoleum.

Mr. Rites, 79, died Sept. 6 at St. Agnes Hospital.

Born in Union Bridge, he lived locally for two decades.

He worked as a bartender at several local restaurants includingthe Blue Mirror Cocktail Lounge, Getz Restaurant, and the Rolling Road and Suburban country clubs.

Mr. Rites is preceded in death by his wife, Ann L. Rites.

Survivors include four sons, Daniel O'Brienof Baltimore, Ronald Rites of Arnold, Jack Rites of Towson, and Thomas Rites of Arbutus; four daughters, Gloria Rites of Randallstown, Lois Espey of Arbutus, Janice Bergen of Bellcamp, and Charlotte Trott of Charlestown, W.Va.; 32 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
