Coach's comments: BOYS -- "We've really built the programup. I'm very pleased. We should be stronger this year." GIRLS -- "Wewant to be competitive in dual meets, and we want to earn respect inthe league. Our minimum goal is to make the state meet as a team. Itdepends on the bottom four (runners) and how they battle for fifth place."

The Carroll County Sun's outlook: BOYS -- The addition of Clarius makes the Cavs state title contenders, especially since traditional power Brunswick has lost several top runners to graduation. Middletown may still be in the way of the MVAL title, but Key should give the Knights a run for the money. Second in the county is a realistic goal. GIRLS -- With solid numbers for the first time in many years,Key could finish as high as the middle of the pack in both the county on MVAL races.
