Coach's outlook: We have the talent to play with anybody in the county. Butlack of numbers and inexperience are things that will limit us a little bit. We have to stay healthy if we're going to get on a winning footing.

Harford County Sun's outlook: Lydic came in this summer and made wholesale changes in the program, but that hasn't hurt the Hawks' attitude. The Hawks are hungry to make their program competitive with the county's best. They probably won't get within four or five of the top this year. But if the Hawks can keep away from injuries, they should be competitive. Lydic only has 24 boys on the squad, but hehas strong senior leadership from veterans Boykin, Dalton and Kloss. The coach also expects to pick up a couple of junior transfers when classes start this week, who could give the squad a boost.
