Coach: Clayton Anders, seventh year

Assistant coaches: Eugene Swain, Mark Angle, Kevin Boyer, Curt Fazenbaker, Neville Leonard, Riggin Elliott, Gerald Reeder

Last year's record: 4-6, 4-5 in the Monocacy Valley Athletic League

Top returnees: Seniors, running back/linebacker Trey Knight, center/defensive lineman Heath Berker, wide receiver/defensive back Nathan Semler; juniors, running back Phil Wade, offensive guard/defensive tackle Chris Moore, running back/nose guard Ron Dickens

Top newcomers: Senior, running back/defensive back Jeremy Crampton; Juniors, quarterback Chad Gordon, place kicker/punter Jim Malkiewicz

Coach's comments: "We're comfortable where we arenow, sticking with the basics with this young group. Our success will be determined on how quickly these young kids mature. They had a nice year on the junior varsity last year, it's just a matter of takingthat next step to the varsity level."

The Carroll County Sun's outlook: Anders said it all when he said the success will be determinedby how fast this young team picks everything up. The Warriors lost 17 senior starters from last year's squad. Senior captains Knight, Berker and Semler will play major roles providing leadership to the young squad and getting it headed in the right direction for the years tocome. A lack of depth also is a concern with Anders. A definite rebuilding year for the Warriors; watch for improvement as the season progresses and look out for this team in 1992.
