Judith K. Broida has been named associate dean and director of the Division of Business and Management of the School of Continuing Studies at Johns Hopkins University.

Broida, who earned a doctorate in organizational policy at the University of Maryland in 1989, was named acting director in February 1990. She engineered the restructuring of the business program, which now offers a master of science in business degree. She will be responsible for all of Hopkins business programs, including the graduate and undergraduate credit programs and the non-credit professional development programs.

Her background includes six years in a management training post for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and three years at the University of Baltimore, where she was assistant dean for external affairs at the School of Business.


JoAnne Lyons Wooten has been named executive director of the American Physical Therapy Association of Maryland Inc. The association is part of a national professional organization representing physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and students. Wooten, who has 16 years of administrative management experience, was previously on the staff of the Washington law firm, Laxalt, Washington, Periot & Dubuc. Megan M. Easton has been named advertising director at the Baltimore Sun Co., supervising a sales and support staff of over 150 employees and 4,500 advertising accounts. Easton joined the company in 1981 and was promoted to retail advertising manager in 1987. The Baltimore Sun, which is owned by Times Mirror, publishes The Evening Sun, The Sun and The Sunday Sun. Coyne & McClean Chartered, an accounting and management consulting firm, has promoted Sandra L. Glock to manager of the Tax Department. A certified public accountant, Glock joined the firm in 1986. Her areas of expertise include corporate and partnership tax compliance and planning.


Al Mabery has been promoted to vice president and Clarence "Butch" Wirts Jr. has been promoted to senior vice president at Monumental Paving Co., a sitework, paving and utility contractor. Mabery will continue as a roadwork specialist, troubleshooting special projects. Wirts will oversee the projects and contracts management for the firm. Veda D. Wild, vice president and consulting actuary for C&B; Consulting Group-Herget Division, has been named a fellow of the Society of Actuaries. The society is the primary educational, research and professional organization for actuaries in the fields of life and health insurance, pensions and employee benefits in the United States and Canada. C&B; is a unit of Corroon & Black Corp.


Paul T. Cuzmanes has joined Weinberg and Green in the position of counsel. He will be a member of the Litigation Department and will have offices in both the firm's Baltimore and Columbia locations. Cuzmanes served in the office of the Maryland attorney general from 1978 to 1980, then became a member of the firm of Wilson, Elser, Moskowitz, Edelman & Dicker in Washington. He is a member of the Maryland Governor's Executive Advisory Council and has lectured frequently on pharmacy law.


Anthony J. Poole Sr. was named vice president and Linda P. Morris was named business manager for the LCI Fiberglass Products Division of Inland Leidy Inc. Poole, who previously held the job of business manager, has over 25 years in the fiberglass reinforced plastics industry. Morris, who has worked at Inland Leidy for 11 years, will continue in her previous post as technical sales representative in addition to assuming her new responsibilities.

Public relations:

Adams Sandler, a marketing communications firm with offices in Baltimore and Rockville, has named Susan Bruden assistant account executive. Previously she was marketing communications coordinator for Raxco Inc., a systems software firm in Rockville.
