BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2500 block of Robb St. reported that someone entered his home with a key and stole a 19-inch TV set valued at $300.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police said that despite two dogs in the house, someone entered a dwelling in the 2000 block of Hillenwood Road through an unlocked rear door and stole cash and jewelry, all valued at $1,000, from the bedroom.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police arrested two teen-age girls and charged them with breaking into a house in the 6000 block of Carter Ave. and stealing property valued at $600. Police said the girls, both 15, were charged as juveniles with breaking into the dwelling through a kitchen window and stealing two cameras, a 50mm lens and other photographic equipment. Police said the property was recovered.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- William Lee Linebarger, of the 2600 block of Hampden Ave., reported that while his 1979 Plymouth was parked in the 5200 block of Harford Road someone forced open a door and stole an AM-FM cassette player, tools and other property, all valued at more than $400.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3500 block of Glenmore Ave. reported that someone broke into her home by forcing a door and stole a TV set, several porcelain dolls and an Indian doll, all valued at more than $500.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the Eastern District lockup pending charges that he entered a dwelling in the 1500 block of Wadsworth Way and stole property valued at more than $400. Police said a key was used to enter the house and that the intruder took stereo equipment and a watch.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Walter Hicks, of the 3100 block of Havenwood Ave., reported that he was attacked near his home by a man who struck him several times in the head. Police said Hicks was taken to a hospital, where physicians closed a cut on his forehead with several stitches. Police said William Jackson, 25, of the 2000 block of Belair Road, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

RAPE: Northeastern District -- Police today continued seeking a man who accosted a 33-year-old woman on her way to a store in the 1700 block of Homestead St. early Monday and forced her into an alley, where he raped her. The man also robbed the woman of cash and jewelry. Police said the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment and released.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1000 block of Andover Road reported that someone broke a rear kitchen window, unlocked the door of his home and stole property valued at nearly $2,500 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. yesterday. Police said the intruder escaped with a VCR, computer equipment and a compact disc changer.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Walter Hagen, of the 7000 block of Arion Ave., reported that someone broke into his cabin cruiser while it was stored on his property and stole a compass and depth finder, valued at nearly $1,200, from the cabin.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Employees of Toni's Keen Sense of Styling, a beauty salon in the 5600 block of Reisterstown Road, reported that someone broke into the business early yesterday morning and stole cash, a TV set and a radio, all valued at more than $900.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Gloria Gray, 64, of the 2900 block of Borman Ave., told police she was leaving the Metro station in the 3000 block of Cold Spring Lane yesterday afternoon when a man approached her from behind and pushed her to the pavement. Gray told police the man grabbed a bag she was carrying, which contained cash and property valued at nearly $350, and escaped.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Miller Jenkins, of the 500 block of N. Fulton Ave., told police he was attacked near his home by a man who cut him on the right forearm with a knife. Police said Jenkins was not seriously injured and a resident of the 1000 block of N. Fulton Ave. was arrested in the cutting. Police said the suspect was being held at the station pending formal charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Police reported that Sharmane Young, of the 1800 block of W. Lexington St., was near her home Wednesday afternoon when a youth shot her in the arm with a BB rifle. Police said the injury was minor and the youth was being sought.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Mary Williams, of the 1600 block of N. Hilton St., reported she was walking near her home yesterday when a man robbed her of her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $200.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Employees of John's Tavern in the 2700 block of Washington Blvd. reported that someone broke into the bar through a service door between 10 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. yesterday and left without taking anything of value. However, police said, the burglar took some bites out of a banana cream pie.

THEFTS: Southwestern District -- Police reported that someone broke into three cars parked on a lot in the 600 block of S. Monroe St. yesterday and stole property having a total value of more than $250. Police identified the victims of the thefts as George Hankins, of the 3300 block of Belle Ave.; Thomas Hamm, of the 1200 block of Hull St.; and Glen Lawrence, of the 2500 block of Fleet St.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Angela Weeble, of the 3000 block of Elizabeth Ave., told police she was in the 100 block of N. Franklintown Road yesterday afternoon when a man with a handgun robbed her of less than $10.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police said a teen-age who lives in the 2300 block of Wilkens Ave. was riding his $100 bicycle near his home yesterday afternoon when he was knocked off the bike by an older male, who rode off with it.

THEFT: Southwestern District -- Clyde Gibbs, of the 1100 block of Ellicott Drive, told police someone stole lawn furniture valued at $200 from his property.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Danny Turner, of the 100 block of E. Preston St., reported he was in the 600 block of St. Paul St. shortly before midnight yesterday when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded his money. Police said when Turner told the gunman and is accomplice he had none, the two men walked away.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Ralph Mitchell, of the 1400 block of W. Fayette St., told police a man he knows struck him with a baseball bat and pointed a knife at him near his home. Police said Mitchell was not seriously injured.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Michael Hicks, of the 1700 block of Presbury St., was in stable condition today at the University of Maryland Medical Center after being shot in the groin early yesterday in the 1600 block of N. Calhoun St. Police said Hicks was shot with a 9mm semiautomatic handgun. A man in his late teens or early 20s was being sought.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Adrian McFadden, of the 1600 block of Mountmor Court, reported he was in the 800 block of Appleton St. around midnight Tuesday when a man pulled out a handgun and fired a shot at him. Police said McFadden escaped injury and was unable to provide police with a reason for the shooting.

SHOOTING: Western District -- Police were seeking a man in his late teens or early 20s in the shooting Wednesday night of Vincent Scott, of the 900 block of W. Lexington St. Police said Scott was in the 500 block of N. Fremont Ave. around 9 p.m. Wednesday when a man pulled out a handgun and shot him in the arm and leg. Police said the gunman escaped and Scott was taken by ambulance to the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he was listed in good condition.

ROBBERY: Western District -- John Griffin, of the 1200 block of Linden Court, reported he was walking near his home when he was attacked by four youths who robbed him of a gold rope chain he was wearing and cash, all valued at nearly $700.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Garrison District -- Police said a man with a handgun robbed the owner of an outdoor snowball stand in the 1400 block of Reisterstown Road in Pikesville. Police said the man approached the stand shortly after 9 p.m. and ordered the victim to give him all his money. Police said the gunman escaped with a bag containing an undisclosed sum.

ARRESTS: Mayo -- Police acting on a tip entered a room at the Riverboat Motel in the 800 block of Mayo Road Tuesday and arrested two West Virginia residents on drug charges. Police also seized about 4 pounds of freshly harvested marijuana. Police said Raymond Aaron Groves, 32, and Cheryl Lynn Ouellette, 29, both of Cleveland, W.Va., were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

SHOOTING: Pasadena -- Police said a man was shot in the arm Wednesday night as he sat with another person in a car at Freetown and Mountain roads. They said the victim, Darryl Nathaniel Hudson, 27, of the 1200 block of Sunrise Beach Road in Crownsville, was sitting on the passenger side at 9:25 p.m. when a man with a handgun approached from between other cars on a nearby lot. Police said the gunman fired several shots and one of them struck Hudson in the right forearm. Police said the gunman escaped and Hudson was taken to North Arundel Hospital by the driver of the car. Hudson was treated and released. Police said they had no motive for the shooting.

BURGLARY: Glen Burnie -- A resident of the 1400 block of Crofton Parkway reported that someone broke into his home through a window and stole tools valued at more than $800.
