Steven N. Leventis, 56, ran billing service


Steven (Stavros) N. Leventis, 56, who operated a computer billing service for many years in Baltimore, died last week after suffering a heart attack in Clearwater, Fla.

Services for Mr. Leventis were held July 18 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Glen Arm.

Mr. Leventis, a native of Detroit, moved to Baltimore in 1972 and remained here until moving to Florida last year.

In addition to operating a computer billing service for professional offices, he also was engaged in the office furniture and decorating business here and in Florida.

He was a gifted craftsman and could repair and install all types BTC of mechanical systems and wood structures.

Mr. Leventis was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Detroit and attended Michigan State University. He served in the Army for two years, and was stationed for most of that time in Alaska.

He is survived by his wife, the former Violet Hondros of Towson; a daughter, Anna Leventis of New York; a son, Nick Leventis of Towson; three sisters, Lula Marudas, Anna Christopoulos and Christine Theos, and a brother, Peter Leventis, all of Detroit; and many nieces, nephews and cousins in the Baltimore and Detroit areas.
