Chicago Blackhawks -- Traded C Troy Murray (14 goals, 23 assists; 1986 winner of the Frank J. Selke Trophy as the league's top defensive forward) and LW Warren Rychel (1, 3) to the Winnipeg Jets for D Bryan Marchment (2, 2) and D Chris Norton.
Horse racing Ak-Sar-Ben -- President Don Drew resigned, effective Aug. 30, after 4 1/2 years at the Omaha, Neb., racetrack.
USOC -- Named George Steinbrenner to Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, which will oversee 1996 Summer Games. Steinbrenner replaces LeRoy Walker, who has been hired as ACOG's senior vice president for sport. The USOC asked Walker to give up his ACOG board seat because it posed a potential conflict of interest.
St. Louis Storm (MSL) -- Traded F Daniel Donigan to the Wichita Wings for F Mark Santel.
