KIDNAPPING WARRANT SWORN FOR MAN, 19

County police were searching yesterday for a 19-year-old who chased his ex-girlfriend from a Glen Burnie movie theater and abducted her at gunpoint Sunday.

Andre Maurice Hubbard, known by his nickname "Chico," is wanted for kidnapping his former girlfriend on Furnace Branch Road and holding her for several hours, county police said. A warrant has been issued charging Hubbard, of the 7600 block of Spencer Road in Glen Burnie, with kidnapping and assault with intent to murder.

Hubbard reportedly quarreled with Katherine Anne Wittig, an 18-year-old from Severn, at the Town Center Movie Theater about 5:53 p.m. Sunday, police said. After Wittig fled the movie theater, Hubbard following in his car.

While chasing after her, Hubbard allegedly shotat Wittig's car and hit it three times, police said.

Later, Hubbard released Wittig, police said. He was driving a two-toned black andred 1988 Nissan with a license plate of CCW 786.
