City police have released a photograph of a man wanted in connection with the March 29 slaying of a 35-year-old veterans hospital worker in Charles Village.

The man, Mohammad Biglari, 47, who lived on the first floor of the same apartment building as the victim, has been charged in an arrest warrant with first-degree murder and use of a deadly weapon, police said.

On March 29, Barbara Elizabeth Halsy was fatally stabbed in her third-floor apartment in the 2800 block of N. Calvert St., police said.

Friends discovered her body in the apartment shortly after 10 a.m. March 30, when she failed to return to work at the Veterans Affairs Hospital on Loch Raven Boulevard after lunch that Friday, police said.

Police said Biglari is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts can call homicide police at 396-2100.
