A memorial service for Claude E. Taylor, a retired TV station sales manager, will be held at 7 p.m. today at Burbage Funeral Home, 108 Williams St., Berlin.
Mr. Taylor died Tuesday of cancer at Deer's Head Center Hospital in Salisbury. He was 72.
Born in Schuyler, Va., Mr. Taylor attended the College of William and Mary. He entered the Navy and served as a destroyer officer during World War II.
Mr. Taylor joined the staff of WAAM-TV -- now WJZ-TV (Channel 13) -- in 1949. He was appointed a sales manager in 1964 and, after moving to Ocean City, became a sales consultant for the station in 1979. He retired in 1981.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, the former Jean Conwell of Ocean City; a daughter, Cindy Baker of Roxana, Del.; a son, Ronald Taylor of Selbyville, Del.; and two grandsons, Dimitri Kaouris and Jason Sinclair, both of Roxana, Del.
